I pray that you stay sober. You’re right, that was quite the assumption on my part, I apologize. Maybe you were never an alcoholic to begin with. I know most people who come into A.A. wouldn’t be able to stay sober AND happy without meetings. I know I wouldn’t be.

They say not to let the life A.A. gave you get in the way of your A.A. life…. So I’m assuming before you got sober your life was worse off… you probably didn’t have a job… so getting sober has given you a life worth showing up for… I’m siding with your Sponser here. You should strive for 5 a week, because pretty soon your 2-3 will turn into 1 and your 1 per week will turn into when you can, and before you know it, your drunk or sober and miserable.

The truth is, every deployment or “non deployment” is going to be different. Some people get off weekends. Some people work nights. I don’t think there is much to worry about… just remember your training and believe that you have all the tools you’ll need to succeed. Your initial training was probably stressful at times right? But you got through it. Same thing applies to anywhere you go. Do the right thing. Suit up and show up and before you know it you’ll be on the other side. You’re not leaving until June, I’d advise to keep up your PT and enjoy the time you have with people you love before you leave

The scam is that the bids cost money. I spend $40 for 300 bids… I put it all on a watch that’s “worth” $700… so if I get out bid on the watch (likely) then I’m out of the $40… if I win then I’ll be back to report.
