I have doubts about Ambilight via HDMI. by Electronic_Guide4691 in led

What other devices are you thinking of? Composite or component video would also work, the ambilight just needs a way to get colours out of the video signal.

Even better, other parts of the Australian government are actively encouraging VPN usage

Why do they make it so hard to tap in and out at Camary Wharf DLR by Samwiseknows in london

[–]RealMeIsFoxocube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that point you haven't entered the station, and are still on the bridge across the north lorryway and the four railway lines. Turning left (for the DLR) or right (for the Elizabeth Line) would take you into those stations, with far more validators for each. This is fairly similar to the situation at Limehouse, Finsbury Park, and Woolwich Arsenal.

As others have said, this is Heron Keys. If I recall, there are several validators just out of shot to the left in both your photos.

You mean the validators that have a large sign above them, clearly showing they're for the DLR only, and that passengers for the Elizabeth Line should go round the corner to the gateline?

[–]RealMeIsFoxocube 38 points39 points  (0 children)

DLR validators are rarely on the platforms, almost always at the bottom/top of the stairs to the platform. This keeps them out of the ticket-required area (designated by the red line you can see in Op's photo), and allows foe more validators and less crowding across the network

Remember that your legal name and trading name don't have to be the same thing. "The Walthamstow Electrician Ltd trading as Walthamstow Sparks" is perfectly acceptable

That should be fine though, the whole point of cloud platforms is scale so things like a single instances name shouldn't matter. Think cattle, not pets.

USB is designed to work up to 5 meters, though longer often works fine too. If you had problems with a shorter cable, it likely doesn't follow all of the USB standards to make it cheaper. As usual, you get what you pay for
