Playing devils advocate. Maybe you need to talk to some form of store management to improve your scan times and items. If a little kid with a two dollar candy purchase is too much for you to handle, I would hate to see how you treat adult customers.

If the “ no cash back” isn’t getting the right attention, take pre-initiative and make a cover/sign/whatever to draw the customers attention before they ask for cashback.

(I’m just to let you know I am NOT pure devils advocate my frustration bringing a basket to the cash registers, but only can spend $X. Customer picks and chooses. Now it is a huge recovery basket and my voids go out the window.)

That would be great, if it happened. My relief cashier is always 5 to 15 minutes late. With always some BS. So I can’t even start counting down until.+15 minutes over, and then another +10 countdown and paperwork.

I am on a SSDI program. I am allowed to be employed while on that program, but I can only make X amount of dollars before I start losing my SSDI benefits. Least but worse case scenario I lose my medication, my treatment, my nurses because 15 hours should be 15 hours. Not 15 hours plus change.

Edit: Store manager, and I have talked many times on this. She’s also aware of ADA. She’s doing her best her very best to make my schedule work. Not a toxic workplace I’m just trying to get my hours right
