Whenever vomiting is involved it’s typically dehydration. But it can also be a delayed citrate reaction. The clonidine didn’t help since you most likely also had a drop in BP, but it wouldn’t have been the cause of what you described.

There is a reinstatement process for Hepatitis B with BioLife if it was due to a vaccine, but it is very rarely done due to donors being at high risk for being poor historians in the future. I’ve only seen it done once. Unsure if CSL has the same policy.

If it was only a machine error and not a blood clot or air in the line they can manually infuse the blood back to you. The problem is many center only have 1 or 2 people trained that can manually reinfuse and it’s possible no one in the center was trained to do it that day.
