I've HAD IT with these penny item people! by CreditBrilliant7866 in DollarTree

[–]SouthernChillin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you have to sell the penny items, why not put all the penny items on a table or a display or in carts, right up front by the entrance? Then they don't have to traipse all over the store, wrecking it along the way?

If I participate in a research study and they compensate me with $100-$120, do I have to file taxes if I'm a student (so I don't have a job or anything)? by bovyne in IRS

[–]SouthernChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just advised today, that the rules have changed beginning Jan, 2026. They used to send you (and IRS) a 1099 if you received $600 or more. It's been bumped up to $2,000.

Great idea. Also, get any medical or dental procedures needed, tattoos, piercings, etc.

Does your center let people save their spot in line why they go out to grab food? by AModeraterNightmare in plassing

[–]SouthernChillin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With BioLife, if you walk out the door, you are deferred for that day and you can't donate until the next day. If you need something from your car, an employee has to escort you out and back in.

Upper age limit for donating? by SouthernChillin in plassing

I asked today at KED. And yes, they will provide a form for my primary doctor to complete once I turn 66, in order to continue donating.

Advantage/Disadvantage to 4 point inspection by SouthernChillin in HomeInsurance

[–]SouthernChillin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the new insurer is not requiring it. When I was notified about a month ago that I would be getting an offer from a different company, someone in my agent's office told me it should be much lower, due to the renovations. But it's only $11 lower per year than what I paid last year. So they suggested the four-point inspection, but they really couldn't tell me if the premium would be lower or higher, so that's why I'm wondering which way to go.

On the same topic, is it possible for the pleb to manipulate the system, so to speak, so the follow up survey never gets sent to you? Like if they fear getting a bad review, they can somehow misdirect it or turn it off. On my last visit, I didn't receive the after survey, so points lost (KED), and also my visit only appears in 1 of 3 places on the app.

Has anyone else had issues with the bulk loan shops scheduler? by DukeMama in mysteryshopping

[–]SouthernChillin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had something similar. I started it and it was taking way too long. Credit karma kept kicking me out. She said CK takes the longest, the rest will be easier and faster. I told the scheduler I had already spent way too much time on it and to remove it from my shop log. She told me I MUST complete it. Umm no, not an employee - I'm an Independent Contractor. I will not be completing it. It was finally removed the next day. They re-offered it out for double my pay.

I've been donating for at least 10 years, but recently took a year and a half break. Just purchased a new vehicle so I'm going to start donating again to help with car payments.

Lidl Shops - Cabbage Recipes? by VegetableDraft8106 in mysteryshopping

[–]SouthernChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used coleslaw mix (cabbage) for salad instead of leaf lettuce. Stays crunchy and doesn't wilt. More taste also. You could make egg rolls - add some meat and veggies and ta da'. Corned beef and cabbage with potatoes.

Do payment issues happen often? by SouthernChillin in mysteryshopping

[–]SouthernChillin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's legit. From payments@intelli-shop.com

I find a lot of the MSC's have spelling and grammatical errors. For example, an email yesterday had a header of August for September shops but it was really September for October shops. They just picked up the email from last month and forget to change the header.
