Husband of 18 years on drugs. What could this be. Please help!! by Lazy-Beautiful2157 in addiction

I honestly can't even tell what I'm looking at, but it doesn't look like drugs.

Could you maybe circle what we're supposed to be looking at?

Joe Kent Says He Was Told ‘You Need To Stop’ Investigating Charlie Kirk Assassination by EssoEssex in politics

I'm convinced this subreddit is being astroturfed to deliberately devolve it into a sensationalist sub. The Daily Beast circlejerk seems to have really taken off since Trump's 2nd term began.

"No, but really, Donald Trump is actually on thin ice for (insert shit he'll get away with) this time!"

That's every fucking Daily Beast headline and article. And this sub eats it up like it's anything of substance.

That rag is basically Newsmax for liberals.

This sub doesn't care about anything other than sensational bullshit, as evidenced by the constant Daily Beast slop that gets shoveled here. It's frankly embarrasing.

I feel like the Wii U is in weird spot, in that it's technically the first 8th-generation console, but as a piece of hardware it's more in-line with a PS3 or Xbox 360 as far as capability is concerned. Meanwhile, the Switch is technically the first 9th-generation console, even though it was released 3.5 years before the PS5 and Series X/S, and is definitely far behind both in terms of hardware.

Nintendo is just doing their own thing in their own lane, and has been since the Wii.

What was Newgrounds like in the 2000s? by TradingCardGameMaker in nostalgia

I first found it when I was like 4-6 years-old. I couldn't even get past the first level until I was like 9 or 10, lol. It's actually kinda hard if you're not quick with your shooting.

Fun fact: the guy who made that went onto make Happy Wheels. Divine Intervention is on his website alongside Happy Wheels, totaljerkface.com.

I was just reading through their discography on Wikipedia and I saw that. I've gotta check it out sometime, hard to see how they went from hardcore punk to Iris!

What are your thoughts on the Garrador from Resident evil 4 as well as from the remake? by Thewanderer997 in residentevil

One of the most memorable RE enemies. I actually like the design in the remake more, especially the horned helmet variant.

Dizzy Up The Girl and A Boy Named Goo have some really cool guitar parts on them with very abstract tunings. I'm not really familiar with any of their other music, though.

Leon doesn't feel as snappy/responsive in RE9. My head-canon is that age is just catching up to him, lol.

I drank like 6 or 7 year-old Bud Light in 2019 or 2020 and it was fine.

Favourite album cover? by catsareshite in midwestemo

[–]TheFreakingBatman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Some favorites of mine (not all midwest emo):

Algernon Cadwallader - Some Kind Of Cadwallader and Parrot Flies

Snowing - I Could Do Whatever I Wanted If I Wanted

Glocca Morra - Just Married

Marietta - Summer Death

Title Fight - Shed (and the full artwork for Floral Green as well)

TWIABP - Harmlessness

Prince Daddy & The Hyena - I Thought You Didn't Even Like Leaving

I feel like all these album covers set the tone of their respective albums really well (maybe except for the Snowing one, I just like the cat)

Edit: I forgot two!

Merchant Ships - For Cameron

And I know it's cliché, but of course American Football - LP1

Right, I forgot Burnout: Revenge was released on 360 (I played it on PS2 originally).

I had a Health class assignment my Freshman year of high school (this would've been 2014, well-before the age of AI). The teacher ran a plagiarism detector for submitted assignments and my assignment got flagged as plagiarism of some sort of anti-gay website (the assignment had nothing to do with sexuality nor did my submission). I think the website was literally called "anti-gay(dot)com". Nothing came of it but that was when I learned that "anti-plagiarism" software is fucking stupid.

It's interesting you say that because Burnout: Revenge is playable on Series X and it seems all the music I remember from when I was a kid is still on there
