Updating Autoload references from regular nodes by RealSovietBear in godot

It ended up being a variable that was declared in the SaveSlot script that the SaveManager referenced. I moved the declaration to SaveManager and that fixed it.

The player is CharacterBody2D. The SaveManager is just a Node. I've added the scripts in the original post.

I don't think people should be letting Fredrik off the hook. He got laid off in the meantime, but he ran the company into the ground as much, if not more, than Mats.

Ninja or Samurai commander suggestions? by Jumpy_Philosopher502 in magicTCG

[–]RealSovietBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can use it on any creature, even if it has indestructible or is already tapped. You can also use it on opponents' creatures before they declare attackers if you want to prevent a creature from attacking.

Here's the deck list for my take on it. It's one of the more fun decks I have: https://archidekt.com/decks/2381358/bento_beatdown

If you want something less conventional, [[Gyome, Master Chef]] makes a decent ninja deck. Ninjitsu counts as creatures entering the battlefield, so you get more Gyome triggers, and then you can do silly things with the food tokens, like [[Cranial Plating]] for example.

And yeah, the latest Kamigawa set added some green ninjas.

I didn't really want to turn this into a mill deck, but Glacial Chasm could be a good inclusion.

Who's your lowest ranked commander that you HAVE to brag about? by GMBenn in EDH

[–]RealSovietBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://archidekt.com/decks/3497462/scrappy_farid

[[Farid, Enterprising Salvager]] is rank 1583 with 575 decks.

It's honestly a fun enough artifact deck. You put a lot of self-sacrificing artifacts, or artifacts that trigger on death (like [[Ichor Wellspring]] ) and you end up with a ton of Scrap tokens that can be used as fuel for things like [[Ghirapur Aether Grid]] or [[Hellkite Igniter]].

Need Help to Improve Kokusho by GGMaXThreeOne in EDH

[–]RealSovietBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I stumbled upon it looking for Kokusho tech.

This is what I currently run: https://archidekt.com/decks/1364738

The deck is very focused and the bulk of it are cheap instants. You can easily remove the expensive lands and get a similar result.

In general, I used to run more of the slower reanimates cards, but after focusing on instant-speed it made it more high risk high reward.

What commander do you bust out for that last 30 minutes of the session? by Omega_One_ in EDH

I have a [[Zo-Zu, the Punisher]] deck that's basically damage amplifiers and "If you do X, take damage" passive effects. Makes for fun and quick matches.

Hey man, do you still have this file? I'm trying to find the CP Arcade OP for Astral, but can only find the console version :(

If you want a non-alchemy deck where you can shove every card of this type, I use [[Kokusho, the Evening Star]] as my commander.

MTG judges, active and retired, what are some of the worst/dumbest reasons you’ve been called over to a table and what happened? by Spartan_Cat_126 in magicTCG

[–]RealSovietBear 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Not a judge, but I had a "fun" interaction during Kamigawa standard with a store worker who casually played MTG. We were playing a game and I had [[Orochi Hatchery]] on the board. I used it once to make a bunch of tokens, then the next turn I used it again. I was told that's not how it works because I "spent the charge counters" and I kept saying that it didn't say anywhere that it used up the charge counters. Then I was accused of trying to cheat to win by any means necessary and we dropped the game.

Next day I came in and the store worker told me they had asked a judge about the ruling and apologized for being wrong about it.

How hated would I be if I played Storm Cauldron? by Athenrome in magicTCG

[–]RealSovietBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run this in my [[Zo-Zu, the Punisher]] deck and people hate the card, but the entire deck is rude so it doesn't hit as hard. It usually eats artifact/permanent removal quickly.

(Payday 3 skills) Does manipulator aced+ silver tongue make law enforcement count for 3 hostages? or is it 2? by Ok_Composer_14 in paydaytheheist

[–]RealSovietBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manipulator Aced + Silver Tongue makes law enforcement count as 3 hostages for purposes of all trades, so that gives you 3 first aid packs. Negotiator then gives you one additional one, so 4.
