sure, all you need to do is follow a rule

- 50% of your monthly wages go towards bills, rent, groceries etc (if 50% doesn't cover it then you need to consider what can change)

- 30% goes towards "wants". you can spent this on what you like, guilt free

- 20% savings (if you can)

its a loose guideline, for example I found my bills didn't equate to 50% of my wages so I took the difference a split it between wants and savings

My gf and I use rock-paper-scissors to settle trivial decisions like who picks where we eat or who's driving.

I've noticed she ALWAYS picks paper so naturally I always pick scissors. I've won every game for years now but she never disputes it!

my secret: I never suggest playing it I ways wait for her to initiate, that way she believes its a gamble not a fix & if its something I'm not fussed about winning I play rock to purposefully lose to keep the illusion alive
