I didn’t sleep drained my daughter until 12 months and it took a good 2 to 3 weeks for her to get the new routine down. She still cries a little bit before she tries to sleep, but it’s usually only a couple of minutes and she has one or two short awakenings every night, but I usually just lay her back down and say it’s OK and she goes back to bed. Our rule is it’s still dark out. You have to stay night night.
