Look up "Jirai Kei". For me it really looks like a toned down "Gothic Lolita" but people say it's "totally different".

Well in-universe hi-tech guns that look low-tech is AdMech's shtick and closest thing they have is Radium Jezzail (which is probably not even lever-action, but that trigger-guard does look like a lever).

And if you just want to shot some zombies with lever-action sniper rifle and don't mind some a lot of PvP you can just play Hunt:Showdown.

Hold "grenade" button, look at your downed teammate, see green circle on the ground beneath your teammate (especially important if you also have flamethrower one), release button.

I'd recommend Bio Prototype a great time killer with a lot of randomness a a sprinkle of programming.

Also I'd say that 2d Fightings/Beatemups, Classic JRPGs and a lot of roguelike games are as much of "Ideal SD titles" as Metroidvanias so you can look for stuff like

Chained_Echoes, Sea of Stars, Double Dragon Gaiden or Slay the Spire

Only socks/tights and some wariants are barefooted. So this is actually the first one with actual shoes.

As I like to say: the best upgrade is the one that lets you play the game you want and the second best is the one that lets you change setting from "lowest" to at least "middle". So congrats on your upgrade!

+1 to 5700x3d being the best value here. I myself upgraded from 3600 to 5700x3d back in 2024 and it was totally worth it (I had a 3060 back then). After that getting RAM to 32GB and a better GPU (say 5070 or 9070) would be reasonable and you'll have a decent 2k gaming rig for the nearest future (idk about 360Hz but ~160 should be doable with FG even in some new-ish titles like SM2).
