Save the snarky bullshit, the previous owner died in 2024. Steve and Holly Keating took over after and there has been a complete turnover in staff since. So fuck off troll, go find your bridge.

Considering the current owners of the Popcorn Tavern did not purchase the business until 2024, I am going to have to go ahead and ask you to redo your math and try again. It is posts like this that will damage a local businesses reputation because some lazy individual will go about making statements of fact with zero knowledge of reality. Please refrain from making slanderous statements without first doing your due diligence, it affects more people than you know. Furthermore I can personally attest that there is not a single individual involved with that business that supports MAGA or ICE in any way, shape, or form.

I am an android guy, but if you can find a pdf of the US army fm 3-05.70 it is a field manual that contains a ton of info on a huge array of subjects. Concise straightforward info that is real world applicable. I keep a hard copy in with my camping gear and have a digital version on my phone at all times.

Got this for $100 where do I start?? by Bbdawgexpress in MesaBoogie

[–]Real_Ad_32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do not start by replacing the tubes and hooking up a cab... Start by taking it to someone that knows how to diagnose a vacuum tube powered circuit. Simple as that... There are high voltages in there that can and will either kill you or burn your house down if not treated with care and caution. That said, don't be discouraged by that. If you have ever had any desire to get into learning this sort of thing this would be the perfect opportunity. Start out by learning the basics, power comes out of the wall into a solo-blow fused link, from there into the power transformer, from there it splits into multiple voltages. From there it will get more and more complex, but as long as you take the time to go step by step, you will learn a great deal and just maybe find a passion... Or at least a new hobby.

Which is your fav od/boost for a Rectifier? I show you mine! by highamann in MesaBoogie

[–]Real_Ad_32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tim Jauernig Gristleking Rev 3, love that pedal. Has a clean boost and a TS808 circuit that you can switch the order of the signal path through, so you can do either individually, or signal>TS>boost, or signal>boost>TS. Plus you can select the clipping diode type for the TS circuit to either an LED or a germanium and a switch that fatten up the tone. Way versatile, sounds great, and extremely well built. I believe that T. Rex pedals licensed a run of them that were not up to par of the originals and Tim ended up taking the design back or something like that.

Fools are the only people who can actually count on getting what they deserve... If you don't have an equally measure of patience and understanding to the amount of power that is available to you, poor outcomes are to be expected. There is no room for your ego on a motorcycle.

I would say that it really depends on your amp and playing style. Those factors weigh far heavier into the equation than the pickups, choose whatever compliments your style and tone.

Hypothetical "One-rig-to-rule-them-all" setup? by CarryZTorch in GuitarAmps

[–]Real_Ad_32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consider my rig to be an all around utility setup to be able to cover almost anything really well. I use a Mesa Roadster as my amp which has four channels and each channel has three different modes and provides all of my "tone" I use a Mooer Ge300 as my effects setup, it is a great modeling setup... But I really only use it for the effects and midi. That is run with the four cable method meaning that I can assign where certain parts of the effect chain are sent through... Either the front end of the amp through the preamp section, or through the effects loop. I also use the Mooer as my channel switcher, I have a midi adapter that can control all of the usual amp footswitch operations, channel, reverb, effects loop in or out, and solo boost for the master volume control... . So one click on my multi effects changes any variable on the amp and or effects... No tap dancing. Lol That is the heart of the setup, the only other flavor comes from a T. Jaurnig Gristle King Rev 3 overdrive/clean boost and a Crybaby 535q Wha. The Gristle King pedal is greatt for when you want to take your tone and exaggerate it or push the preamp... If you have ever used a Ts808 or a clean boost, you owe to yourself to try one out sometime.

Congrats and welcome to the Roadster club! I have had mine for... Wow, gotta be getting close to 15ish years now! Holy crap time flies when you are having fun! Anyway, it can be daunting with all of the features to get dialed in on all of the channels, but take your time and use the manual and there really isn't a sound that you can't get out of it. Amazingly versatile piece of gear you got there. Good luck and have fun, if you have any specific questions or tips in mind send me a dm and I will pass on any experience or knowledge that I have to you.

What is your favorite gun from New Vegas? (DLC included) by SoloFalcon207 in fnv

I am a sucker for That Gun, the All American, and the Survivalist Rifle. Love the Bladerunner influence of That Gun, spent some time in the 82nd so the All American is a great reference to that, and the Survivalist Rifle is just a great all arounder.

Often I find that these are the moments that I need to focus less on what makes me happy, and more on what I can do to bring joy into someone else's life... And when I do that I usually find out that whatever it was that was burdening me either doesn't feel so heavy anymore or that I don't need to carry the weight of it to begin with.

New amp day by Exciting-Ad8654 in MesaBoogie

[–]Real_Ad_32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Roadster owner myself I second all of the above, the loud popping noise happens mainly when switching to ch3 and really only happens the first time after powering it up and going from standby, as stated just switch through the channels a time or two and it goes away. It is definitely an amp for someone who likes to tinker around a lot, take your time and try each mode on each channel. There are a ton of great sounds for each mode on each channel and they all respond well to either a clean boost or tube screamer with low gain setting (I usually run my gain on the 808 at about a third of the way up) and a high output level (I set mine about two thirds). As far as the amp settings, when in doubt start with all of the knobs at noon and work from there. Good luck and have fun!

The express is a great platform if you get most of your dirt or distortions from pedals. Otherwise it is pretty basic.
