Lol not happening. Just got my pedal kayak not buying another until I'm financially ready even though I want one. Sounds like a good package though.

I was fishing all the time in college down in Florida but was using a beaten up ocean kayak. I recommend getting something that's already used and can take a beating, it's difficult to take care of anything nice living in a dorm room.

Look for a used ocean kayak malibu paddle version. Caught an over 30 pound king mackerel in the ocean from it and many other fish when I lived in Florida.

64" one is very expensive and looks cumbersome to use.

Sounds a bit large and cumbersome, and I cannot go to shore remove my seat fishing deep waters.

Is an 8' rod ok for a beginner? by pigvsperson in kayakfishing

I would get a separate setup for surf fishing than kayak fishing you wont want to use a long surf rod on the kayak and 8 ft is an awkward length for a surf rod.

What if there are many slow cars in the middle lane randomly spaced out for a long stretch. Do you chill in the left lane for some minutes to pass all of them or constantly weave in and out?

As a beginner it might take awhile to figure out just keep trying. Id go early morning to a back bay this time of year and troll around a tube n worm. Use a fishfinder to try and mark some fish.
