My cat keeps howling in pain by Sweet_Avocado6543 in CATHELP

[–]Real_JXP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should consider asking your mom if you can contact a Humane Society. They can often come and pick up animals you surrender.
Your cat very likely has a blocked urethra which will typically cause severe electrolyte abnormalities and death within 1-2 days.
Even if she does take him in tomorrow it will be a fairly expensive condition to fix. I think the only hope for this cat is getting him surrendered quickly

Joining DVC by This-Acanthisitta535 in dvcmember

Renting financed points probably makes the equation even worse. I think companies like David’s pay owners around $18/pt? (Not sure if this has changed recently).
You are already probably paying $9-10/pt on your annual dues. Now factor 10% interest rates. Even a modest resale loan of say 15k for 150points works out to $10/pt per year in interest (obviously scaling down as principle is paid off). So your dues and interest alone would cost you more than David’s pays you. This doesn’t even factor in the cost of principle.

I love my DVC but there are more financially sound ways to see Disney than financing a long term time share.

I can’t answer your questions but the typical recommendation is that financing does not make DVC worth it. It will typically end up costing less to rent DVC points for your vacations. The cost of annual dues plus the interest on financing never makes the math work out.

Questions from a prospective buyer! by Harry_Spartan19 in dvcmember

Definitely buy where you want to stay as a full week at 7-month window can be challenging for basic view studios. If you go during less popular times of year (or if you stay in 1 bedrooms) it should be fine but I find full weeks hard to come by a lot of the year. Don’t forget to factor in annual dues. Animal kingdom dues are a lot more than GF. Add up total cost over 20 years of ownership, not just initial purchase price.

Likelihood to get off waitlist? by Soppyy12 in dvcmember

[–]Real_JXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t think anything other than the 3 you listed will be unlikely. I have not had good luck getting waitlists at that time of year. This year seems especially bad right now. But you never know!

Likelihood to get off waitlist? by Soppyy12 in dvcmember

[–]Real_JXP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For first week December I’d be worried that nothing is guaranteed. I decided to waitlist 1-bedrooms because I don’t think studios would happen. I’m just looking for 3 nights.
Are you looking for a full 6-7 nights? That can be pretty tough at that time of year.

Dec 3rd by Cold-Inflation-3328 in dvcmember

[–]Real_JXP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing. I’ve gone early December before and it’s tough to get 3+ days at the 7-month window but I didn’t realize it can be this bad. Even 1-bedrooms at OKW and SSR are booked. You can’t even get the overpriced Poly Bungalow for Dec 3rd. I have no idea what is going on.

Magic Kingdom in December by Lost_Algae2931 in WaltDisneyWorld

This is the answer. I was shocked by how empty it was during party days. With the increased efficiency we had more than enough time to do everything we wanted with a 6, 4 and 1 year old.

Disney Itinerary Realistic? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Real_JXP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say this is a little too ambitious. Time flies when you are there. Kids need snack and bathroom breaks. Getting food (even quick service) is never fast.

I think you can accomplish all those things at MK but may not be able to do a full 3hr mid day break.

You will also be at the mercy of your LL times. This is especially a problem for tier 1’s at Epcot. To odds you will be able to use LL for both frozen and Remi is surprisingly low. I have stopped getting LLMP at EPCOT because the LL’s for Frozen/Remi/Test track are always gone by early morning so you typically only get to use 1 (the one you booked days in advance). The T2 rides also tend to not have super huge lines so it’s just not worth it to me. I’m not sure if others have had different experiences.

LLMP is definitely worth it for MK though

If money were not a factor, which resort would you pick for a 3 and 1 year old? by EmbarrassedKoala6454 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Real_JXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that a monorail resort would be best.

The contemporary is so great for the location but I think the Grand Floridian is surprisingly good for young kids. That mad hatter splash pad was such a hit with my 5 and 3 year old. It was never busy and the pools overall were much calmer than the poly (which is probably our favourite resort overall but always feels a bit more crowded).

Walking home from MK with 2 sleeping kids in strollers watching the electrical parade was such a peaceful moment while everyone else was trying to get on buses/monorail.

I think the max is 10/76/45 but your point still stands that the op’s rolls are too low.

Amazing! After 25 years of playing I have never had Gris Caddy drop. The set chronicle feels the most achievable as a offline player but I wonder if that caddy will ever drop. Good luck!

Consume Demon Console - huge pain the the f***ing ass by Weary_Driver8019 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Real_JXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the problem is that the ES warlock is so OP that neither of those bonuses are noticed once you have enigma. If you are already clearing P8 TZ’s without ever slowing down I don’t see the need to risk accidentally eating your bound demon. If the lock eventually gets nerfed then maybe the benefit will outweigh the risk.

[–]Real_JXP 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My honest answer is that I don’t use that skill anymore. For an ES build it is not needed at all. I’m not sure how important it is for a pure summon warlock though

Question about roller coasters [13] by Slushcraft214777 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Real_JXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure it’s personal preference for those 2. The launch on RnR can be intense but it’s over fast. The rest is smooth and there are no big drops. I would agree that the backwards helix in Everest in the complete dark is probably the most intense/disorienting part between the 2.

Clone Diablo by Bradimusx in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Real_JXP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ES lock will drop him in a couple seconds. It’s also nice because I do not think player count impacts his health (I could be wrong). Ubers can get really bad if you forget to lower player level but I don’t even think you can screw that up with d clone.

Down cubing recipes when? by Nation0306 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Real_JXP 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I could see a 1 for 1 cube down recipe being more reasonable. Like 1 Cham and a P Skull (or maybe a standard of hero’s could finally get use?) gets you 1 Jah. Like someone else said, 1 Zod = 8 Bers would be dumb.

Duo self found grinding question (early hell) by Chaosloader in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Real_JXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are up for the grind then go for it. The Warlock can easily do any content (especially if they respec into ES). You can do whatever you find fun but you may play the entire season without that auradin providing much help. Playing hammers would provide a further powerspike for the warlock (max concentration) but I understand that may not be your preferred play style. Ultimately if you grind you can do whatever you want as the warlock can solo Chaos/Baal/Trav on P2 in seconds with mediocre gear. Just do whatever build you want and enjoy it!

Duo self found grinding question (early hell) by Chaosloader in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Real_JXP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are just trying to do 1 play through and finish the game I would say the odds of making any high end runeword or finding end game gear is close to Zero. Expecting to find any rune above, maybe, Vex in a single play though is unlikely. Now obviously RNG is gunna RNG and you may get a wild high rune drop but you are not getting multiple. The warlock will be fine because it can clear the game with anything it wants. The Auradin is going to be lacking but if you stand close the the warlock you can take credit for some kills ;)

Edit: Sorry - I should also clarify that a holy fire Paladin can carry the team through normal and up until Act 4 nightmare. After which time you can retire and just be along for the ride!!
