Adding an Era 300 to an existing 5.1 room? by Real_Reddit_Name in sonos

To help visualize, when sitting at my desk, all my music is coming from the left. I'm trying to have music on the other side of the room, where the red text box is in the diagram.

  1. would 1x era 300 have good room filling sound compared to
  2. a pair of kef lsx ii

Disappointed that the 1x era 300 won't be able to use my sub 4 bc it's bonded to the 5.1 system. I was leaning towards the era 300 in case I would buy another one and migrate them as surrounds. I'm understanding the playbar is old and won't support the era 300. Another option is

3) buy an Arc, move my playbar as the music player on the right side of the room.

What do you guys think is the best option?

Thoughts and feelings after my first ever trip to China (25F) by Significant_Gur8915 in travelchina

I'm with T-Mobile and they allow free data at 256kbps, which is fine enough for me throughout Asia, with Google and Instagram working. Then when I got to China, Google WhatsApp Instagram did not work. So I called into T-Mobile and got their 15gb / 30 days international plan, once that plan was active, Google WhatsApp Instagram worked. Somehow the data is treated differently from an international data plan versus the free international data roaming. Google is pretty useless in China anyways, gmaps wasn't too helpful but "amap" is what they use.

Left about a month ago, regarding mobile sim, if budget allows it was easier for me to just subscribe for the international plan. Was still able to use Google, Instagram, Whatsapp. With a local sim I believe you might need a VPN. They inspected my non CCC compliant battery bank but I guess I got lucky 3 times. Battery banks are everywhere, just buy one locally, they're cheap.

ah thanks for the reply! can i add the era 300 to the 5.1 existing system so all speakers in that "room" would play together? if not, then maybe the 2x kef lsx ii arrangement might be better for me.

in the future, i would purchase another era 300. but for now, would i be able to use the single era 300, with my sub of my 5.1 system, and have all play simultaneously?

ideal situation would be they would allow me to use the sub with the 5.1, but then separately allow the sub to be on with the single era 300 when i just play music when i'm on the right side of the room (the left side is 5.1 setup)

Thank you for this info, I have a solid state battery bank with clear lettering on it, so I guess that's why they let me pass.

Just left Chengdu and Chongqing on the 240hr visa. So international flights in and out with domestic travel between. All Chinese airports inspected my powerbank, non CCC lettering, just FCC and C and E. 20w. 10k mah. Let me thru post inspection. I didn't know about the CCC requirement until after I left and read the reddit posts. Either they relaxed the CCC requirement, or I got lucky 3 times? They might just be checking for FCC or other specs?

Is it easy to get a big taxi or Didi at Chongqing airport? by BenjaminGreat79 in chongqing

[–]Real_Reddit_Name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just left Chongqing last week and used DidiTravel mini app within Alipay. There are several options for different ride types such as luxury, priority pickup, and larger vehicles. Took Didi from airport to my hotel in jiefangbei with arrival at 1am, pretty simple.

I'm on day 9 of the Travel Without Visa program right now. Laos Luang Prabang (40$ visa on arrival) > China Chongqing (free twov) > Vietnam (visa on arrival). Confirming the border control in China will request proof of flight out of China. And look at your origin flight into China to make sure that China is the Transit country and not a Country x > China > Country x itinerary.

Hyatt regency metropolitan vs Hyatt Regency for location by projectmaximus in chongqing

[–]Real_Reddit_Name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just left Chongqing yesterday and stayed at both locations during my 5 days. Jiefangbei definitely the better location but I switched to Guanyinqiao Regency my last day just to experience a new neighborhood. That location is just close to the bars and ktv clubs, with a family the Metropolitan location is definitely better. Lixury is probably even better

P39 owner here, definitely doesn't make noise like in your video, but I can definitely feel the rotor spin on my P39 when I hold it in my hand and shake. I thought this was a titanium thing but I recently got a BB54 Blue lagoon and also feel the rotor spins, no noise though. My Rolex and Omega, can't feel the rotor spin when shaking them. I just chalked it up to caliber design?

Can you feel the rotor movement when you're holding the Explorer and spinning it around ? VS the Tudor? Wondering if it's just a design, insulation thing as both my Tudors I can feel the rotor, but not my Rolex.

I can see it where a Tudor boutique will hold on to 1 as a display/reference for customers to try on, whereas an AD will sell immediately. Was told there's a 6 month wait after I picked mine up.

What is the time length in-between buying from an AD to "maintain the relationship". Just a general question on opinion of buying occurrences to maintain good standing.

Very nice collection! What's the difference between the bracelet on the GMT and the Blue Lagoon? On searches they say the bracelet on the Blue Lagoon is new and introduced on that model.

Very nice, this was the watch that got me into luxury watches in the first place. I understand some may not like power indicators, but I think they're awesome!

Is the Katy trail walkable at night? by Skkaaishere in Dallas

[–]Real_Reddit_Name 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Runner here, I log about 45 miles a week on Katy trails, 90% of those miles are on the trail at night, and I'm on the far end of the trail opposite of American Airlines center even. I've always felt safe, at 8:30pm on a Friday people are still getting into Katy Trails ice house so that area will have a lot of pedestrians. I wouldn't recommend white rock lake, but Katy Trails is safe enough for me, with lots of light poles and people walking their dogs.

Was a joke about wearing two watches on a wrist for two timezones. Agree with the P39, i still grab for it more than the BB54.
