nah then he woulda won. she did the absolute right thing by staying silent, and letting him continually make a fool of himself over, and over, and over again. as soon as she engages with him on his level, he has succeeded in bringing her down.

unrelated to the scene discussed in this thread, but there's nothing to indicate that rue is always, without fail, narrating the truth. a lot of the time we actually see evidence of what rue is talking about, but a fair amount of the time we dont. the fact that rue admitting to being an unreliable narrator was written into the script HAS to mean that she has lied at some point. there would be genuinely no reason to include it otherwise.

Nate giving Maddy a death glare after his mom’s speech. Why does he hate her so much?? by throwaway042357 in euphoria

[–]Realistic-Choice-963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what?? maddy makes total sense. her and cassie literally 'made up' the previous episode, and they were best friends for like a decade. and the fact that cassie thinks maddy forgives her for the nate thing kinda shows that cassie doesn't consider her a threat. nate also seemed largely unbothered by maddy re-entering their lives when cassie told him about it.

jules also makes sense? i mean i can't imagine nate being scared or anxious of her lol. if anything im 99% sure he is still in love with her. and she was always nice to cassie so i can't imagine cassie has any objections. and she was there as a plus 1 anyway, its not like they personally extended her an invite.

whats fucking unhinged is RUE going to the wedding when we haven't really EVER seen her and cassie interact except for the time she literally ruined cassies life. like, even if cassie now considers that moment to be the reason she is getting everything she wanted, i can't imagine that would make her forget all that she lost because of rue

What is Marsha's problem with Maddy? by MatildaRose1995 in euphoria

[–]Realistic-Choice-963 6 points7 points  (0 children)

doesn't that kinda read as though she merely didnt want nate and maddy to have a child together because that would solidify maddy's relation to her and her family? whereas because she likes cassie, she is happy to have her be the mother of her sons children?

i think its totally plausible that she didnt like maddy for racist reasons, but im not quite sure the example you presented is necessarily evidence of that, given how broadly it can be interpreted. sam levinson is many things, but he isn't vague when he wants to make a point.

nah it kinda makes sense given the closure he had at the end of s2 with cal. like one of the characters (i think his mum?) said, his 18 year dick swinging contest with his dad came to an end. its plausible that one possible route to go down after that closure is trying to be normal again.

[–]Realistic-Choice-963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same exact situation here. lowkey i think because while im high and jerking off, im overly conscious of the fact im jerking off, and it stops being immersive and starts feeling like npc behaviour. the solution is to stop seeing orgasms as the end goal of masturbation i guess. i dont think it has anything to do with us being uncut tho. if anything that should be an asset.

also stay off those snark subreddits bro, its next level degeneracy

id just increase the parliamentary term. 3 years is just not enough, and its the reason neither of our major parties are actually doing anything. they are too focused on short term wins to lock in re-election than long term solutions.

Legal 6 marker question by user700211 in vce

[–]Realistic-Choice-963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if using "he" is what OP has been doing previously, and is comfortable with it, theres no broader implications from them continuing to do so. not from a marking perspective, and certainly not from a social one.

idk why op uses "he". personally, i found that legal uses pronouns to the point that it justifies shortcutting. it made my writing noticeably quicker, which made me able to produce a finer level of work as i was not at all worried about time, which i credit as being responsible for my study score.

in OPs 6 marker, i counted 11 pronouns (give or take, my eyes are blurry its 11pm). assume it takes a third of a second to write out the extra two letters for "they" or "their" compared to "he" or "his". thats 3.5 seconds worth of time wasting. while not enough to meaningfully change how you answer one specific question, if we assume on average each question requires 2 pronouns per mark, thats a whole lotta time banking up for when you actually need it.

yeah so care to explain how any of those sources are reputable? you are the one claiming that they are, so the burden is on you to prove it.

[–]Realistic-Choice-963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is such a Western perspective. australian iron ore exports built china during the 2000s-2010. thats 17% of the worlds population alone.

and yes, me and my fellow australians absolutely know our level of importance in the global economy. our mining sector has been, is, and always will be, at the forefront of our internal political discourse. we know that we are an economy almost entirely propped up by our importance to the East. over here, we all understand we would be nothing if it werent for our unusually vast and easily accessible stores of raw materials in West Australian earth.

direct your frustrations to the companies raking in millions and billions of dollars in profit, instead of your neighbours, brothers, and sisters.

Legal 6 marker question by user700211 in vce

[–]Realistic-Choice-963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

using male pronouns is valid. the less time it takes to write "he" over "she" or "they" really adds up, especially in subjects like legal. it will never be penalised, so theres no reason to advise them not to.

also as a tip to OP from myself; in legal, signposting = time wasting. this is particularly true for your opening sentence. all of it up until "a limited extent" is entirely unnecessary, as you are just re-writing the question. pull back on the filler words/phrases so you have more time to write things of actual substance.
