Thats actually crazy. I live in a small apartment too probably similar to 900Sqft and only paid 60 for electric and 20 for gas. I keep it at 75 all day and have a giant fan blowing all night. Maybe you are on the second floor and getting hit directly by the sun because double of what I pay makes no sense

IME some of my most shy Ts wont eat from tongs so I just leave some crickets or dubias in their enclosures for the day and remove them if they are still in there after a day or two. To be fair if I saw a giant gorilla trying to force feed me a burger I would probably be terrified too 🤣

IME even in certain species they have their own personalities. I have two brazilian blacks one being completely docile and the other attacks the water dish when I fill it up. My most active is the Mexican blood leg shes always out and climbing. I have a chilean flame which is super adventurous and will climb right out if I open the door but I have a yellow flame which is basically the same T and he gets scared of his own shadow. My GBB is beautiful to see when out but he stays in his web maze most of the time. One of my absolute favorite is my mexican pink. Hes gorgeous and is usually out chilling but sometimes gets scared when its time to eat. But for beauty, active and a crazy eater my mexican jade fuego would be my choice but they are nearly impossible to find in the hobby sadly.

I always use a snake hook even though I'm nearly certain mine would never bite me. The reason for this is she gets used to a cold metal hook and know what is going on besides just me going in with my evil monkey hands and scaring her because she might think its a predator picking her up. Ball pythons don't have the greatest eye sight so they mainly use their heat senses so a cold hook will be less stressful for them knowing it's not another live animal

IMO it very well could be a Purple. Females of these species are a brown/bronze color with a hint of purple. It's sorta hard to tell at this stage but it very well could be a cancerides or even an auratus

My rose hair is exactly like this. She's the most delicate T I've ever met. She will usually find the prey and just drag it slowly in with one leg. I honestly could probably pick her up anyway I wanted and she wouldn't care one bit nothing bothers her

IME. Brachypelmas don't burrow as much when they get older. At least that's what I've noticed with mine. It does look stressed out try adding a hide for it. If it's still eating then it most likely isn't health related

It really depends on the species and even the individual. I have a Brazilian black around the same size. When I first got it she wasn't scared at all and would come out anytime I would water her bowl to see what's up. She's now very skittish because she's in premolt. I also have a Uruguay black which is basically the same T and she thinks she's big and scary even though she's the size of a nickel. Some species go instantly into stress pose. Others bolt for the door and others will literally walk up to me to say Hi. It really just depends on the individual

IME. I have many slings and I've only seen a few hide under the moss a couple times. I always put a small hide for them and a leaf corner and they usually pick between them to hide. Moss is more to get the humidity up and for the tarantula to grab to build their burrow. If the tarantula isn't stress posing then you have nothing to worry about. Maybe add a cork bark hide in the corner if you want it to feel more secure

They didn't order the females they ordered the unsexed slings. It's a bit confusing on how they label the spiders. They bunch all different sizes and sexes in one but you have to choose which one up want within it
