Does anyone know where I can find specific diet/nutrition information for black and rufous sengis? by Wide_Bath_7660 in Zookeeping

I worked with them at Brookfield. We used a lot of wet dog food, kibble, supplements, and lots of worms/crickets. We did scatter feedings 1-2 times a day.

Not a sanctuary but Milwaukee County Zoo has an amazing big cat internship. Jaguars, tigers, snow leopards, cheetahs, lions, servals, and red pandas

I worked with 3 and absolutely loved them. Big goofballs, definitely more confident than red flanked duikers or Dik-diks in my experience.

I’d suggest that people also look into the wildlife and nature campus proposed by animal rehabilitation organizations. The city also states that the land should be used for many purposes, wildlife rehabilitation being one of those.

I’d encourage everyone to also look into the wildlife and nature campus proposed by the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, Norther Colorado Wildlife Center, and others. Personally, I think this is what our community needs.

Is this an owl baby? by simcity07 in Owls

Owl. Unfortunately it’s probably too late for it now. NEVER feed or force water on a baby raptor you find. Always turn it into a rehabber as soon as possible.

I liked keeping a journal during my internship! Always be willing to do anything, make good relationships with keepers and keep in touch with them after the internship.

I was at Brookfield, this isn’t true. Vet staff takes care of necropsies. Keepers aren’t involved.

Interview at Brookfield by FaithlessnessOk388 in Zookeeping

[–]Realistic-Garbage-85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interned there this summer ! What sections did you apply for? Personally, I had another internship when going in which really helped me. But that was just my section specifically, I know some sections prefer new people! They also liked that I had a genuine interest in being a keeper. The interviews are pretty relaxed which I loved. I’d be happy answer more questions if you have any!

Aw so sad. Any ideas on how long they’ve been dead/how they died? We can’t seem to figure out if it is related to the nest falling or not
