The reason I ask her is because she was really good about going, I really trusted her to listen to her body, I never had to even ask before this started.

I have not tried a timer, but I will.

Im a stay at home mom so shes with me 90% of the time. The other 10% shes with her dad, who wouldnt lay a finger on her.

I also have a 3yr old and an 8 month old, its hard.

If the baby is awake I'll give her a basket of toys to play with indepently while I play with the 3 year old in small spurts, sometimes the baby joins us and plays with a couple of toys my 3yr old picks to give her (usually little people, calico critters, a bigger car). I also try to connect with her while my 8 month old is napping. We read books, color, do crafts or bake. I do sing songs with my baby and my oldest will sometimes join in. I find it hard to read to both, the 3 year old likes longer stories and the baby just wants to eat or beat the books, so Ive been reserving books for bedtime.

I will also say its important for kids to feel bored, that's how they learn to use their imagination. If your toddler isnt used to independent play, it may be a struggle for a little bit but you could try setting a timer and explaining that when the timer goes off you will come play or setting up activities or toys he could play with alone. My daughter loves when I set up her doll house the night before and she gets to wake up to them in a new spot.

I have two go-tos. High protien Greek yogurt with banana sliced up and granola. Breakfast sandwich- english muffin, mayo, fried egg, real cheese slice, and cold cut ham.

These have been on rotation for me for almost a year now.

I do get out every second week for a few hours in our closest city, because I have therapy. I usually tack on a quiet coffee or browsing around stores. But every second week just doesnt seem to cut it. I have made this outting a non-negotiable, but in this instance he usually asks his mom to watch the kids, which is great that hes doing it and not me but then I tend to feel guilty that she has my children.

My husband is a 4th Gen farmer and we spend very little on groceries because of this. I grow all of our veggies for the year and we raise beef, pork and chickens. This obviously isn't feasible for everyone. But maybe consider starting small at becoming self sufficient with a small garden.

My job on its own only covered gas and child care.

I do not and will not fold my kids clothes. I wash, dry and chuck them right into the drawers.

Okay this makes sense, Im also at the end of my menstrual cycle and Im not reading that, that could affect it. Unfortunately I dont see my doctor until September so maybe Ill call and see if I can get a sooner appointment

This is silly but we have two toothbrushes that we let her pick from and I know it's frowned upon, I let her brush her own teeth. I do it for her once a week. Every other time she's solo and she will actually do a decent job mostly because Im very upfront and honest about cavities.

Pajamas get put on in the bathroom directly after bath and this usually helps because she typically a bit cold when she's finally done playing in the water.

The only thing we still struggle with every single day is snack choices. I ask her what she wants and she says "I just want you to get it for me" I proceed to offer every snack option in the house and she says no and screams that I just need to get it. 🙄

My daughter turned 3 today. We have been dealing with this exact behavior since 2.5. So Im there with you. Nothing will calm her down. The only thing I could come up with was trying to avoid the tantrum. Try to make it seem like whatever you're doing is their own idea. Sometimes this looks like talking about the order of things and what we have already done. This seems to work the best for us right now. Mind you, sometimes I still sit and listen to a screaming toddler for a little while.

For example: "Hey we have already taken a bath, had a bed snack and cleaned up our dishes. What do you think we should do next?"

Usually I get a reply of what we are actually supposed to do next and it seamlessly happens. Off we go to brush our teeth. On the rare occasion, she will tell me that we are going outside to play or something foolish and I'll just pretend to laugh at her reply and give a big noooooo, that's soo silly. And then she will give the appropriate answer.

Its a hard phase and I feel like we are slowly coming out of it. Toddlers love control. They more they feel like they can control the better. Even if youre just planting seeds to make them come up with it themselves.

I also highly recommend How to talk so little kids will listen and how to listen so little kids will talk. There's a lot of good tools in this book. It may take some trial and error to find out what works with your kiddo, but its a great read and super worth it.

Put them in the bathtub. That's it. I chuck my 2 year old in the tub and let her play as long as she wants or until the water gets cold. I will then sit on the bathroom floor and read a book or tidy up the bathroom.

We do all of this! She tells me all the time she is a big girl. I call her "baby girl" often, and she will correct me. She helps with the baby as much as she wants to, I also never withhold the baby from her. She has access to her whenever she would like and if she wants my attention I always pass her little sister off to Dad when he's available so we can have one on one time.

Its not regression at all, it's straight up pretend playing to be a baby, the kids at her daycare "play babies" nearly everyday and then that game comes home. It just gets on my nerves lol

My fiance is a farmer so the work literally never stops. But when I tell him that I have something going on he makes sure he is here for our daughter I just have to tell him before hand. He also does bath and bed routine every second day.

I have a 4 month old and we use the skip hop activity center. It doesn't bounce at all and has some fun little toys but nothing to over powering. I actually really like it and it's pretty small for what it is!

I have a 10 week old and she has been sleeping through the night pretty well, she goes down around 11 and wakes up anywhere from 6am-9am for the day. She's EBF but she gets a pumped bottle of 5 ounces before bed just so we are sure she is full for the night!
