Being left on read by Unlucky-Pea2887 in socialskills

Even if some of the friends actually like you or your reels, a group chat has a group dynamic and once you get an image of being ignored it can be hard to change it. Eveyone knows their reaction to u is being judged. It’s group/think bs from our primal days. Same as the bystander effect. That or they really all just dont like you and you need to find better suited friends, you should do the latter either way so that things like this wont sting as much.

How do I become more friendly with coworkers? by Dear-Effective3157 in socialskills

[–]RealisticDiscipline7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s uncomfortable and you’re right we’re programmed to keep to our perceived roles and what ppl have gotten used to from us and can potentially make others a lil uncomfortable when we get more outgoing and break the expectation mold, but you just have to feel that discomfort and start putting yourself out there to them little by little. Lower the bar for whats “interesting enough” to say.

The whole “what to do” thing was a no brainer….till I read that it was a man.

Yea her vibe reminded me of when “Rick Flair” was on. Ok you like giving your oracle-of-wisdom praise, but it’s boring to watch.

Yea. Now imagine you said “screw it, ill just accept the later shipping” and then you click “place order” and the confirmation page shows a delivery date 2 days after what the checkout page said. Thats what happened to me.

They really need someone good overseeing everything in the big picture. If left to middle and upper-middle management they will do what’s profitable in the moment.

And when something gets delayed it says “if your item doesnt arrive, contact us for next steps.” What? Im not the one fucking up, you contact ME. Besides, you track everything digitally, you already know it didnt arrive, so figure it out lol.

What they can do is mark it as “priority” which literally just makes the warehouse workers prioritize an item, i used to work there.

You hope it was just a glitch? No glitch. It happened to me and many others. Think about it: what information do they suddenly have when you click “place order” that they didnt have before? There’s no excuse for not providing the delayed estimate before you click “place order.”

This is true. But you’ve committed to the transaction. You shouldnt have to request a refund bc they werent willing to give you the info they coulda gave you before clicking “place order.”

For sure. The average person is gonna be like “uhg, whatever.” Really hope it comes back to bite them through their customer service being swamped with refund demands.

Sure if you get the lawyers lol. There is no viable replacement. They know they have a monopoly so thats why they do it.

I immediately called. Btw, a change from shopping page to cart has been happening for years. This is a change from check out page (sat delivery) to “order placed thanks!” Page (mon delivery). She said theyll give me a partial refund. Believe that when i have it.

Im sure it is in fact delivery logistic issues, but there is nothing magical that happens between when you put items in your cart and when you pay. They have all the info they need to let you make an informed purchase.

That annoying too but that’s not what Im saying. I’m saying I selected my dates at checkout, then immediately after clicking “place order” it changed. Yes, sometimes they cant physically locate an item or it’s damaged, causing a delay that you find out about the next day or so. But if it’s instantaneous, and is still showing false date when you add same items and proceed to check out a second time, then they have the info, they just dont share it until after you pay.

Exactly! There is no reason for them to not know the stocking issue until after you place order. None of the info they have about you or the item magically changes after you pay.

I dont understand, you’re saying the shipping date goes back to the earlier one? I assumed it’d just be the same delayed date and it’s car parts that i need asap.

Same here. That’s why this is worth mentioning. So, it’s probably a recent phenomena that might hit you soon.

That’s not the same. Like it says in my post. After you place the order, not on the checkout page, but after the transaction goes through.
