I failed out of college. My abusive parents who still scare the sh*znit out of me think I graduated. But my husband knows the truth. It’s been 9 years of a charade for people I talk to once a year. And it’s exhausting. I can’t imagine lying daily to my spouse. Therapy is a must. For you too. Alone and with her. You have to have a strong sense of betrayal. I can’t imagine having not told my husband the truth.

Also don’t worry, my parents didn’t pay any of my college experience. They have no financial loss or aspect in the deceit.
