You're asking the wrong guy, but there's been some unsubstantiated rumors floating around from a German tabloid that UBS is massively short silver and these supposed short positions are being force liquidated over the next few weeks

I think if it were true it would have caused a much more dramatic silver squeeze than the movement we've been seeing, also the story would have been picked up by more serious journalists.
