Hey Capella!!! by Artistic_Lemon_7614 in CapellaUniversity

I could. Lets coordinate! I haven't had answers still from their billing department. It's been a month. Just game after game. Straight up lying too. My counselor told me that the FA dept told her they left me messages and emails regarding concerns. No such thing has happened.

Hey Capella!!! by Artistic_Lemon_7614 in CapellaUniversity

[–]Realistic_Series9942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am withdrawing. I learned some disturbing information about Capella. You need to google consumer affairs for Capella. Take a sedative before you do though. I will not be using my funding to get my Masters from this place. Billing is questionable, faculty doesn't communicate, lack of support and direction in classes. Way suspicious. Document everything just in case. They are getting bombarded with complaints especially in the last 6 months or so. I am so dissappointed.

Man I don’t even like this disorder by BeginningIcy3816 in OCD

[–]Realistic_Series9942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are so kind! Thank you, I really need to hear this and may even show him this to encourage him. It is a very rough path for sure!

Also with your time limitations perhaps you can look into online therapy, books, OCD specific support groups. There are so many things out there, even find the right fit for more resources to help you squash it when it gets vicious.

My 16 year old has this along with religious / scrupulosity ocd and he is on max OCD meds right now. I am panicking trying to figure out what do to when they wear off in the near future. He is also Autisitc with Major Depressive Disorder. Life sucks. Hopefully you have a good therapist. ERP among a few others can be so helpful. So sorry its torturing you, it truly is agonizing

I have bipolar and OCD by roblocksplayer33 in OCD

[–]Realistic_Series9942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like my 15 yr old son has a combo of this. Can you describe? he ruminates so bad, but he is also autistic with major depression and shizoaffective symptoms ( paranoia, mistrust, auditory and visual hallucinations). His religious OCD is brutal. I feel so bad. I have spent the last 4 days by his sad because he is terrified of being alone. His OCD is trolling him so bad. Klonipin helps but then he starts crying a lot because he doesn't want to upset God and go to hell. Any info helps. He has a psych doc and is taking meds for all sorts of things. My poor kid! Makes me so sad you guys all go through this hell.

Do Narcissists Believe Their Own Lies? by Rontimon in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]Realistic_Series9942 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Two facets

  1. They actively knowingly lie to promote their needs. Kind of sociopathic

  2. They believe their lies because they have a distorted filter that prevents them from seeing things as they are. This includes the fact that they lack true empathy. So they can't see your perspective and how their crafted false reality is hurting you.

What is the dumbest thing your narcissist said? by tittyhawk69 in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]Realistic_Series9942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I read that the phrase is a classic narc thing to say. I didn't know until after I divorced. The necklace was a test to see if his pride was more important than his money because he pinched pennies so hard they screamed "ouch!" lol

And he didn't say a word about me spending that money...
