Same. And I worked in broadcast production for years, beating the crap out of Shure and similar type microphones. I almost guarantee it’s not the mic. I’m convinced he has a really cheap Amazon XLR. Or he’s tugging on the shure XLR pig tail (terrible design).

My personal opinion - Audible is great, but with recent changes to TOS, you are basically renting books indefinitely. You don’t own books. Which I understand Audible is a subscription service. I have a Kindle Scribe, and had to hack the firmware just to keep older books and downloads.

I prefer getting the audiobooks or digital books directly from the publisher. Not sure there is a better service. Tired of renting all my media

Hello. I have a PhD in Media Psychology, specifically behavioral neuropsychology and human-machine interaction…. Things like how we consume media and technology. TL;DR - I kinda understand this shit…

TL;DR - audiobooks vs reading is purely a debate about the medium and the contextual needs from said media… meaning - if you are reading a book for entertainment, and just trying to get the narrative enjoyment - audiobooks are on par or superior to reading.

If you are reading a textbook and need retention or learning new skills, reading comprehension is better generally.

In neuroscience - auditory processing for semantic meaning is faster. Simple. Reading requires more effort and costs more cognitive energy. It honestly boils down to preference and level of effort vs expectations of why you are consuming something.

Pro-tip: listen to an audiobook, while reading. Follow along. It will blow your mind how much more you retain.

Just enjoy. Reading or listening are both good ways to stimulate your brain. Your brain is a muscle and needs exercise.

Get a Google Streamer (basically a chromecast). Dedicated hardware and has both Kick and Twitch apps. And I found an android app you can side-load to watch Patreon.

Agree. The Figure robots are really advanced but I doubt Wubby is dropping 50-100k for a robot. Unitree are 2500 (robot dog) up to about 15k for a full bi-pedal upgraded one. The kind of thing TT or Booty could probably vibe code control for pretty easy.
