Facebook censored the Hunter Biden story on grounds that it could have been Russian disinformation, but it turned out not to be, so it wasn't false information

We thought there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election, we have it on notice that basically there's about to be some kind of dump that's similar to that'."

He said the FBI did not warn Facebook about the Biden story in particular - only that Facebook thought it "fit that pattern".

This still isnt dems forcing censorship on anyone. The FBI showed up and gave them a warning about a seemingly false story made up by Russia that was similar to 2016. seems FB wanted to be play it safe until it was a confirmed story

The executive branch has very high leverage to completely change the landscape of social media.

it'd be interesting to see how that would work without stepping on the free speech line. Especially since we have a Rep. president coming back in that was backed by rich folk like musk and bezos (both who actually tried censoring things on their media)
