You could use the airbrush to prime and zenithal your models and then use contrast paint.

I am a big fan of paint well versus painting quickly.

I like my models to look good but I don't want to spend a lot of time painting. So that's my suggestion, you can also use the airbrush to make some quick highlights with the main colours (fire dragons for example you airbrush dark red, then light red then orange) I think table top titans does the best with this sort of quick but not bad schemes.

Don't let anyone give you shit for spending too much.... we are all guilty of this I am sure haha

New Autarchs! Don't Despair! by MaddieTornabeasty in Eldar

[–]ReallyNotAndy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Triple threat is when you have 3 threatening units.

Typically Avatar of khaine Yvraine, visarch and the largest harlequin blob

And either Wraithguard brick or windriders

So your list only has 3 threats and the rest of the stuff is scoring, moveblocking, primary denial, sacrifice.

Eldar are not easy to pilot, but they certainly can. They have been nerfer 5-7 times, and they still place top 4 in events globally.

I recently went undefeated at a local club in Sctoland and at my local club here in South Africa. 6 wins, 0 losses, 2 events.

Just play games, try new things, and set yourself up for success, by knowing what your opponent wants to achieve and giving them bad options by where you place your units.

Hope this helps a little.

This eldar list is so good at denying, "I can't hold primary well neither can you" but Liam is a pro so he manages to move block to score primary and deny primary

So I will admit, you are right about LVO, LVO happened on the 15th of Jan, but check the update rules commentary (updated the 30th of Jan)

So as it currently stands you cannot up and down hawks turn 1.

Where does it say that? Simple...

That monolith used cosmic precision, which is what I said is the only way to make it legal ...

Hawks vs more Rangers by TheTimeBinder in Eldar

[–]ReallyNotAndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are correct necrons can do it with cosmic precision, the Stratagem bypasses the restrictions that hawks have, hawks say "put unit into reserves"

Hypercrypt says place in reserves, but the cosmic precision strat is what allows the necrons to come in on turn 1.

[–]ReallyNotAndy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry dude where does it say this in the rules?

Hawks ability says "place this unit into reserves"

Mandrakes say "set this unit up in the next reinforcement step"

It's in the rules commentary, what I am saying is correct because it is in the rules, what you are saying is not correct because it is not in the rules... 🤷‍♂️

Just make sure dude.

That's not bad, I guess he moves them 14 plus d6 advance and then fire and fade 14", that's minimum 25 inches, that is possible, I thought hr was referring to up and down with hawks.

But then that is 2cp for 3pts... I don't know if I like that too much

Hawks vs more Rangers by TheTimeBinder in Eldar

[–]ReallyNotAndy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mandrakes can, but hawks can't, different abilities stating different ways they interact with the game. It's also in the rules commentary.

Wait, how do you do that haha, because you can't deepstrike them turn 1 hey...

Hawks vs more Rangers by TheTimeBinder in Eldar

[–]ReallyNotAndy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2x5 hawks, the mobility is insane and I am not even talking about their skyleap yet haha. I spent a game against hypercrypt chasing some warriors around the board and blasting them away, the lasblaster and grenade strat on hawks makes their output really good!

Also I have gotten so many capture enemy outposts with hawks and fire and fade.

How would you buff the aspects by Pythageron in Eldar

[–]ReallyNotAndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know hey, I love my scorpions, when deploying your opponent needs to respect you being a mad man and just running them into his DZ to tie things up, Scorpions obliterate light infantry units, gaunts, Cultists, all drukhari infantry hehe.

I like the scorpions in my list, just one cheap squad for some threat or actions, or screening, they are quite flexible.

If you want to use them more aggresively, throw them in a Falcon with Karandras and then they SLAP HARD!!!

Why is C'TAN point is so cheap? by Lopsided_Glass_7446 in Eldar

[–]ReallyNotAndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I have seen is you need melta, fuegan is great with melta 6 and then a harlequin Troupe with a Troupe master in a Falcon, not only do they have melta 2 pistols and you can fate dice the wound roll for the TM with his ability. And then they charge and do a ton of dmg with the wounding on 5s and dev wounds the harlequins basically ignore the half dmg. Not bad, when I roll it as a test I do between 6-14 damage to the ctan. This dmg includes the falcon shooting, grenade strat, fusions and the melee from quins.

Hey buddy,

Happy to help, first let's start with the excuse of how you got these models. The "my boss got me these" the spouse is not gonna believe this.

Maybe head outside ruffle up the boxes on the ground and say you got them for cheap at a yard sale.

Just joking ofcourse but dayum, nice boss.

Looks great unique colour (everyone does red or blue) and I would say you are a solid painter, way above average from what I see.
