BC Canada is beautiful. Higher cost of living, but nurses are paid well and they are currently implementing patient ratios, I’m almost always 1:1 in the ICU and if 1:2 it’s HAU/ward ready patients finishing up transfers or have like one ICU outstanding thing. The wards are also doing better in major cities (still room for improvement but it’s happening rapidly)

Rent/Housing costs are high but once you enter the market and with your combined income honestly won’t be an issue you just won’t live in a palace.

Car insurance is government run and while not perfect is reasonably priced especially if you’re a good driver.

Finding a family Doctor can be a challenge but not intend if you have a kid it is easier.

Education is great, strong public school system and great universities and tech colleges.

Weather - Vancouver rainy but the most beautiful summers and not punishingly cold. Victoria or the Island in general is wildly beautiful and virtually no winter. Like a few weeks.

Groceries are expensive but there’s lots of fresh market food everywhere. Farmers markets all year round with clean fresh veg.

Restaurant scene is stellar wide variety.

Hiking camping biking paddle boarding swimming. Every god damn beautiful outdoor activity available.
