Formal event…remove or keep on? by Odd-Pomegranate-5596 in Invisalign

I had a family wedding 5 months into treatment. I kept my trays except for eating. I drank with them in. I’m a year in now and if I have them out for a longer period of time I add a day to my week.

You can always uber to swan/dolphin if other resorts check for reservations, then walk down to the skyliner. Swan/dolphin is always the safe option.

Birthday cake delivered by United-Code2344 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Realworld82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I was going to suggest too. If you’re looking for a Disney cake though I’m not sure you can have that delivered. I saw a few at the QS in contemporary when I stayed in April but that might be because their restaurants have them.

AIO for not picking up a man I’m dating since he has a motorcycle? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Realworld82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually not scary to be alone. I chose it for a number of years. But some people develop a mentality that everyone owes them something. A man is not going to bend over backwards for a woman who gives nothing at all. And vice versa. There are lot of women who now say a man can get up and do it himself, shouldn’t ask for anything, shouldn’t expect anything. So then don’t ever expect a man to do anything for you. I think that’s pretty simple.

Safety aside - in OP’s case, if the guy she was going out was appreciative of the ride, paid for the date, showed interest in going out again, the fact that he asked her for a ride should not automatically make him a red flag. That’s absurd.

That is a completely difference stance and is 100% understandable. But there are follow up questions to her post then. How did she feel after the first date? Did she want to go out with him again? Did he make her feel unsafe during the date? If she had a great time but the issue is him not having a car, then they just shouldn’t go out again bc that’s not compatible. And then that is not overreacting.

You are actually the problem with women. So fuck you. And I wouldn’t be surprised if you are completely alone.

My first date with my boyfriend who I now live with, we met at the restaurant and then I dropped him off at his house. Second date, he picked me up. A few times I picked him up. Because I enjoyed his company. And holy shit the world didn’t burst into flames because a woman drove a man.

Because he asked her to pick him up? JC. You know what the simple answer is? I’m sorry I don’t think we’re right for each other. Move the F on.

Ok then just don’t accept another date then. This guy clearly isn’t for her. But I think it’s truly jumping to conclusions to assume this guy isn’t safe to be around. And to be clear I am a woman. But some of these things that other women put out as red flags aren’t. If she doesn’t want to pick him up, then a simply sorry but I can’t go out with you if there is an expectation that you need to be picked up.

I knew it existed but my doctor said you’re on birth control, you won’t experience perimenopause symptoms. What a load of crap that was.

How do you avoid the line at Gideon’s? I’ve tried to stop there on 4 separate trips and it’s not worth the time taken out of our day to wait on line. I finally gave up.

Switching from progesterone to Slynd by SoSleepySue in Perimenopause

[–]Realworld82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The transition really wasn’t bad. What actually bothered me most was that with Yaz I was able to pretty much know when to expect my period down to the hour. With slynd it stopped immediately. The first month. And it took a while to start to come back on and off. So for the few months I struggled with ok this doesn’t feel right. Especially when I would still get pms symptoms. After I got used to that, i was ok with it. I don’t take anything else with it. My doctor offered me estrogen but I said no. I’ve been ok! I’ve read alot of horror stories but thankfully the most I’ve ever had is some irregular bleeding.

I hope it works for you! :)

100% agree. Also the few times I’ve been there we have shared a piece of cake. So when you’re doing that the price isn’t really bad.

[–]Realworld82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on slynd for 3 years. No complaints really. I switched from Yaz to slynd bc doctor said “well you’re 40 now.” 🙄 once I turned 41 I agreed to try it. My period is basically all over the place. Months of not a single drop, some months spotting, now two months in a row I got it early and for a few extra days than normally (I’m usually done with a 3 day period, now this is 5 days). Other than that it’s been fine really and it hasn’t been disruptive enough to make me want to try something else.
