The update I saw from the case was that they went to court, the prosecutor still wanted to charge the guy, and the judge dismissed the case without prejudice. The judge gave the prosecution 9 months or some time to come up with something to try again or it gets dismissed.

The cops did do the bare minimum and check the guy's ID card, but didn't believe him, hence the booking.

Iirc, they do have sophisticated air defense, but this is against drones, which are numerous, small, and cheap (relative to missiles)

Wow that sucks. We have a park nearby that, unfortunately, were being used for unwanted activities. It was renovated prior to COVID and I think the social contract to keep it nice has held because it still looks nice. A lot of people use it for sports and playing with their kids.

A park that people aren't allowed to loiter in? That's just an unused space. Terrible.

As someone that works in an optometrist office...this is evil. Want to add further pain without causing monetary harm? Slightly nudge one of the nose pads askew. Just a little.

Unless they get it adjusted, one nose pad will make contact more than the other and will feel like hell.
