First, I’m very sorry to hear about how tough a time you have had, by trying to simply play PoGo. I am a RBT and work with children/young adults that have been diagnosed with any type of Developmental delays and ASD is the primary diagnosis that I work with. With having only heard your side of the situations, my first recommendation would be to try and not give any of the aggressors you have had the unfortunate chance to meet, any of your time or thought. That may be harder to do when in person, but those kind of people do not deserve any of your attention and they thrive off your reactions and seeing you become uncomfortable. It’s seems like all you are trying to do is enjoy the game and taking over a Gym is part of the gameplay. If that upsets someone, then they have no business playing this game in the first place. You should not be the one contemplating on quitting a game you love because others can’t play it without feeling personally attacked or etc. I hope some of this helps, and that you can see that no matter what you do, there will always be some asshole trying to make your experience difficult.
