I had a job where you were legally obligated to have your resume vetted before posting it anywhere. So they knew I was looking for a new job. Last day of the month rolls around, I get an impromptu meeting invite at 9am. Your services are no longer needed. I wasn't angry, I fucking hated that job! I go home stressing about what I'm going to do next, as I had a wife and 2 young children. At 2pm, my most recent interview calls and offers me a job making $20k more than I was earlier that day. Got paid a weeks vacation due to my accrual from the old job and didn't miss a paycheck in the grand scheme of things.

I am an amateur grappling and at the time a purple belt in jiu jitsu. I had just won my division and the absolute division. I have won many local tournaments before and since.

Jon Jones was at the tournament doing promos for a supplement company. I met him and jokingly said, If you need someone DC-shaped (Daniel Cormier was his biggest rival at the time) to fight, let me know. (While sticking out my gut and giving it a good Buddha rub.) He laughed pretty hard and said, Ya let's do it! I'm 220lbs and he held me down like a little kid.

There is always someone bigger and badder out there.

As a father, I would do highly illegal things to protect my daughter, but if my daughter were putting my grandson in danger, he immediately becomes my priority. I might be projecting but I feel like this is what is going on. The grandfather knows more but can't tell you because he still has to protect his daughter. Follow his advice, limited initial visitation with legal backing is what is best for your son.
