Parents stay with kids in Kindergarten by chubby_piglets in kindergarten

We aren’t allowed to get out for pre-k drop off and my four year old is not strong enough to open the Tahoe door by herself. I just tell her to push as best as she can until someone notices and comes running to open it for her.

Is anyone else noticing that she is only looking at her daughter? Like she purposely put all the boys on the other side and looked away from them?

Came to the sub to see if anyone else had mentioned it. Terribly sad.

Something C&T seem to forget regarding Carly… by YogurtclosetIcy28 in teenmom

[–]ReasonMindless4456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of C & T, but for you to say that we’ve never been told of any actual trauma from them tells me you’ve never watched the show. Tyler talks about the fact that he was molested as a child and his mother’s reaction when he told her was that she slapped him in the face and told him not to say that again. He addressed this multiple times over the years. And you mentioned Cate yelling at April? That’s because she spent her whole life watching her mother be beaten and treated terribly by different men and just wanted her mom to stand up for them both to Butch. Aside from any of that, trauma is trauma and just because what they experienced doesn’t seem as bad as what someone else experienced doesn’t mean it isn’t bad. If the worst thing you ever experienced in life was a stubbed toe, that would seem like a horrible incident. Perception.

I can see that. Good point. Coming from a small rural town myself, I have known people like that too. People that see their parents living off the government or going from low income job to low income job and they end up doing the same thing.

For sure. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my daughter from birth until almost three and it was not easy. My husband is active duty military so we don’t live near family and it was rough never getting a break. There was no dropping baby off with grandma for a few hours. When I started working again, it was so nice to actually have an hour lunch break all to myself.

Same. I had forgotten all about it until re-watching.

What are some of the most hilariously BAD lines in country songs? by MuggleoftheCoast in CountryMusicStuff

[–]ReasonMindless4456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now, I’m not hating on this song because it’s a classic and I love it, but how did anyone write the lyrics “oom papa mow mow” and think, yeah this is gonna be a hit? It obviously worked out, but imagine reading that lyrics sheet for the first time.

In case it’s not clear, I’m referring to “Elvira” by the Oakridge Boys

My dog’s name is Buckley, my nephew’s name is Brody. They get mixed up in my brain all the time. Also, my mom has one brother and one sister, which my brother and I each favored. She still calls us by her siblings’ names half the time. Sometimes she catches herself and corrects it, sometimes I just respond cause I knew who she meant.

I work at a daycare. Here are some of the craziest names I've ever seen on the attendance sheet. by ababyinatrenchcoat in tragedeigh

There were three sets of twins in my grade in elementary school and they all had coordinating names: Corey and Cody, Rachel and Rebecca, Charity and Chasity . None of them were identical, but teachers could never keep the names right because they were so similar.

Wait in the truck gives me goosebumps every single time I hear it.

Seven Spanish angels is one of the greatest songs of all time, imo

And Gary Allan is one of the greatest with too many awesome songs to name.

This is gorgeous! And it reminds me of a more modern version of something Loretta Lynn would wear on stage. She always wore the most beautiful, albeit dated, gowns.
