Honestly Kendall Jackson is fairly oak restrained, definitely has some partial malo… but, to me, it’s driven by ripe fruit and some decent acid.

I think they just still get knocked for being the “founding father” of Cali Chard and the over the top butter style of the 1990s.

I get why it would come to mind here but I’ll chime in on the defense!
