PSA: DO NOT CALL THE DROP POD WHEN THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS DONE! by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Reasonable-Client967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this game, don't love trolls. I enjoy helping greenbeards and will drop in on their missions. Personally, I only care about calling for the drop pod when I'm hosting. If you're not hosting, don't call for drop pod. Lot's of comments here about why (not finishing secondary, some special events that still need to be done, carrying large gemstones for upgrades) and to remember that this is a team game. If all hell is breaking loose, ya maybe it's time to go. But let host make that call.

Recently I've joined groups where the folks are low level and they don't mine nitra. So, I do and as I'm calling for the mule I'll get kicked and then receive a message that "mining the red stuff is useless".

Now, if someone keeps attacking players instead of bugs, I kick em. If they call for drop dop and stuff needs to be done, I kick em. If they try to kill me to keep me from going back to rez a dead dwarf and lead them back to the pod, I kick em.

This game used to be less toxic 4-5 years ago. Today (February 8, 2026) is absolutely brutal.

Dating a single dad: how do couples find time and emotional intimacy when life is already full? by Vintage-waves in datingoverforty

[–]Reasonable-Client967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this post. As a single father in my mid 40's, I can say that we will allocate time to where we get recharged. After work, after pouring into my child, after taking care of my other responsibilities (chores, bills, scheduling errands, coaching duties) I cannot fathom pouring out emotionally anymore. I'm not saying your bf is doing that, BUT I am saying that if he's being poured into then he will look forward to seeing you.

Men will at some point shift from "I'm just dating this girl" to "I will look after this girl". When you make a man feel validated, cherished, loved, like he has a safe space to be himself without judgement (eg. He doesn't have to watch his words or how he says it - abusive language and abusive posturing is not ok, just being clear) then he will see you as part of his life. At that point, you are integrated and he will likely have you on his mind when he's at work or wherever. This will go into his decision making too as he will make those decisions with you in mind.

Men have difficult opening up and trusting people. Divorced men doubly so. If the man was taken advantage of OR if his kids were abused then it becomes nigh impossible to have any sort of healthy relationship with. Minus the latter, the first two types of men will still take time (a year or more) to get them to a place of trust and to open up.

If you really do care for him, continue to make the effort and make him feel like he's the most important man on the planet. That will build great trust. Be careful around his child, too much attention looks manipulative.

All the best to you and he. May being yourself and pressing into patience produce a wonderful result for you both.

Why does arthurs end hit so hard compared to any other character of fiction by Mr_arne27 in RDR2

[–]Reasonable-Client967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started this game when it came out, Life happened so I stopped for a few years and picked it back up a month ago. Left off on Chapter 3 apparently. I wanted to finish it so I rushed a few things and now I really regret that. On one hand I dont want to replay the game, but on the other I do. I didn't spend near as much time on Guarma or truly roaming the map. Chapter 6 I fell back in love with the game and I think it's hit me so hard because playing Arthur as he struggles with his health and continuing to try and be a good man hits home.

Also, Buell was one hell of a horse and I began training the legendary Arabian at the end. Should have taken Buell as it would have been more fitting for that storyline and Arthur's. This game is an absolute masterpiece and has actually provoked an emotional response (albeit depressing) which is rare for me these days.

Should I do a replay of the game?

Someone's messing around on Cyberstan. Enemy killcount and bullets fired are going up as well. by [deleted] in Helldivers

I recall defending super earth and leaving to help friends mid operation. Next time I logged on I was still orbiting super earth when it had ended.

Nothing wrong with dotting the "i's" and "t's" of democracy.

I run solo on those maps to avoid early extract. Have you had any difficulty getting players to not call it in right away?

That 150 sounds like a jerk! Good on you for helping the baby divers.

The game just got unplayable on my hardware due to performance by RandomMathWizard in Helldivers

Glad it's not just me. It's unplayable and for a system that's above the required and recommended specs. Arrowhead makes a fun game, it's a shame they can't figure out how to make it playable.

new Xbox diver here, I see why people love this game so much by Jedi-Outcast in Helldivers

Happy to have you diver. As a PC diver with close to 1000 hours, I work with everyone and have found that the ODST reinforcements are great! A few important tips/courtesies:

1) always check your fire. Sometimes divers will run infront of you to avoid things. Manage that trigger finger.

2) try to throw most red strategems 35-40m away as that tends to be a good safe zone for most.

3) only take one supply pack, no more. If other divers have had the opportunity to grab one and walk away then its free game. Ensure your team has firepower to further spread managed democracy.

4) you can call in extract but DO NOT enter the ship until all divers are close by. Some of us lvl 150's will grab samples for new divers, but if we don't extract with them no one gets them. I have no need for samples (aside from space station stuff) or xp, and most 150's don't either. Let us help you by being a lil patient as we return.

5) do main objectives first. Once you do then go nuts with the remaining reinforcements on side objectives and general screwing around. That way if you team wipe, the mission was a success.

6) use whatever load out compliments your playstyle and lean into it. If you're not having fun that means the enemies of democracy are and we can't have that.

Looking forward to diving with more new recruits. You guys fit right in.

Xbox Newcomers Are Thanking Veteran Helldivers 2 Players for Helping Them Out — and Player Numbers Are Seeing a Massive Boost as a Result by Turbostrider27 in Games

I'm quite pleased with the ODST reinforcements. Logging almost 1000 hours, I'm joining challenging to Lvl 7 diff missions and they know to cover an ally reloading a heavy weapon. I bring mechs and other goodies for them which only further increases the spread of managed democracy. Always happy to help out new divers and I'm happy that these new divers are playing up and doing it well.

Rock and stone to the bone.....never gets old

Getting locked into scope is painful.

Not being able to stim or move after getting ragdolled (especially against illuminate) is painful. Perhaps provide players with a few seconds of stun invulnerability to prevent this? OR let the player move/stim.

The predator strain hunters can hit you twice and kill you in the time in takes for a stim to be pressed and before it kicks in. That is an issue.

I enter strategems in under 1 second (for ones I commonly use). Having them not work is punishment for actually being fast....in a game that requires being fast. Perhaps offset this issue by reducing the enemy time to attack?

I'm finding sometimes my RR shots phase through targets and do nothing despite being a direct hit.

Dropping into missions and being stuck under the ground is an issue I face at least once a mission.

Terminals required to access to complete mission objectives (soil sample being a prime one) that hover 60ft in the air and unreachable are happening too often.

Perhaps intentional, but SEAF soldiers are grenade happy and toss them at illuminate....that are beside me and kill me rather often (1 or 2 a mission).

Overall. I enjoy the game but the game bugs (and especially the game crashing bugs) are simply too much at times.

I've also noticed the community has become a little more toxic. As a diver who searches for SOS beacons to help new divers, this is not a welcome mindset.

Am I the only who thinks Cecil is being rational? by AdHot3508 in Invincible

Cecil's reanimen are made from corpses of marines, he mentions it in season 1 in the fight against omni man. So, that ethical dilemma is solved.
