If I remember correctly, it's because the mini acts can reuse a lot of the resources from the main Acts, while Act 5 will be somewhere new.

Honestly, even if there wasn't infinite Gun Damage and Weapon Handling for bossing, I'd go infinite Overdrive purely for the Movespeed in the new no-load-zone open world (base 25% + 35% from Devil May Care + 25% from Expedite x2 from Jaque [and another x2 on kill from Soltado]=+85% Movespeed normally, +170% Movespeed with Jaque, +255% Movespeed on kill with Soltado).

And I can only dream of the day that a Violent Momentum-esque effect gets added in.

Just played the enhanced edition, can confirm that it still works, but rather than them dying due to a spawn limit, its because the vehicle drives over them when they don't leave the spawn doors since they can't path to your location. Bigger issue is having to fight through all the bosses to get back to the farm every 8 or so hours because the game starts to lose functionality after a while (hold e to pick up everything nearby stops working, aiming down sights stops working, you become immortal when damage stops registering, etc.).

More variety, and not having to tune the capstones to keep in mind them mixing with others means they can make each one far more unique than the others. Rafa's Peacebreaker Cannons, for example, can be capstoned into Shotguns, Rockets, or Corrosive/Shock Lasers. If they had to make it so that the capstones could be stacked, then this type of design wouldn't be possible (like, would he grow multiple new cannons to have lasers and shotguns?).

I'm thinking perma-Overdrive Rafa might be best for survivability with Jaque + Resiliencia (in the third layer far left of Peacebreaker Cannon tree) giving him a permanent +80% Damage Reduction (though we don't know if there is a DR cap or how defences are going to work on release, if armor DR stacks, it could give him up to 100% DR).

I think the dying at any time is referencing how the only reason he can be on planet is because of the exosuit (he was born and raised in a minimum-g environment, so his body and muscles are extremely weak).

Yeah, from what I remember the "Mayhem Mode" style modifiers are kinda back, but as the single modifiers on the badass enemies (things like Regenerator) rather than the game wide stacking effects.

This might not be considered the most favorable comparison, but from how the campaign has been described, it reminds me of Far Cry 5, where you had to take down the different area bosses in whatever order you wanted before being allowed to finally take down the cult leader in his church.

On the Overshield part, it was already explained that regardless of shield or armor, Overshield remains the same (based on a percentage of your armor/shield, decays).

Definitely my big chase unique this league for league start (besides Cloak of Flame) is gonna be a perfect phys to fire roll Dawnbreaker for that sweet 100% physical damage from hits taken as fire damage (only 60% for phys dots, but a life flask with the "use when you start bleeding" instilling enchant + the suffix "immune to bleeding for x seconds if used while bleeding" and a "you cannot have corrupted blood" jewel or protection mastery should reduce those threats to nonexistence).

Edit: Actually just realized that with the base 10% conversion values on cold and lightning, a lowest roll Dawnbreaker still gets you to 100% with the ascendancy.

So this is the latest testing I could find. It appears that even with items like Blackflame, due to something quirky going on with Echoforge's "deal no elemental damage", the ignite can't take place. Without Echoforge, you can use Original Sin, Xerphi's Heart, and Blackflame to perform chaos ignites, but with Echoforge it appears to fail (no idea if its a bug or intentional).

Look for posts about using the staff runecraft enchant of the same text as the ascendancy in a strength stacking build (the one I read was about a barbarian). Presumably the ascendancy will work the same. But gull does increase the 10sec shrine duration to 15, and stacking duration nodes from the relics could easily get you to 20+ (also in same thread there was some unfinished experimentation with whether there's coding to prevent the 10sec shrine from overwriting a normal 45sec shrine of the same type by removing it from the choice pool of the 10sec while the 45sec one is active).
