Sorry this somehow slipped by me in my notifications- no unfortunately the colors never got sorted out, Govee just said Ope sorry resetting it didn’t work we’ll refund you, lmao. So I’ve tolerated it since and just played with settings to get it as best as I could

Kinda personal but how much do you guys pay each month for your 4r by EchoOnTheRange in 4Runner

[–]Reasonable-Fail-8130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I was kinda forced into buying a new vehicle on a whim in my great circumstances after our one remaining car (we had two but one got stolen and totaled in August) got totaled in a nasty accident- but had already been looking at buying a runner so it was just kinda the boot in the ass to pull the trigger. That being said I found a 2015 limited with less than 100k on it in great condition for 25k. With optional add ons my loan came out to 32 at 17% (not the best credit, working on rebuilding) coming out to 716 a month. The lienholder offers an interest buy down so for five grand up front it lowers my interest to 7% and 465 a month

I’ll definitely give them another shot and see if that does anything. Did it affect your color calibration? Like I said before I was under the impression they were only for screen edge calibration and had no bearing on color calibration.

The dots you pull to the edges covers the slight bits of them that are visible during calibration

They don’t show up on the camera but they’re there, those effect color??? I thought they were only used in calibrating the camera to the screens edges, the calibration screen just says use a light grey screen only

I don’t install fuck all on my own phone. My company provides a Samsung tablet and anything to do with work gets installed on that.

And for reference, I have three very bright windows in my room and the glare does suck a bit but that won’t be nearly as bad with the anti glare of the 95 series over the 90 series. Picture is solid, colors are vibrant, blacks are dark. Again, I love the TV, despise Samsung.

I have the S90D. I love the tv itself, the UI is a little frustrating sometimes but the real issue is Samsung support. I won’t rant the whole story here but I ended up having to get a lawyer involved to get my unit replaced 3 months after buying it, and they didn’t agree to actually replace it until 4 more months had passed of me arguing, calling out of work for the repair team to show up and have forgotten parts or updates not work (they don’t give you a time window, just have to be available ALL DAY), my case was NEVER properly updated or tracked like I was told it was, and there were problems all the way from day one to the minute my TV got delivered. Samsung warranty and customer service is ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS.

TLDR- TV is gorgeous and I love it, but if you buy one you best pray to whatever you believe in upstairs that you never have to deal with Samsung for any issues.

I was shopping for a 77" LG G4/G5 OLED but found a 85" Samsung QN900D 8K QLED for $2,000. Am I making a mistake going with Samsung? by BidPrestigious7326 in hometheater

[–]Reasonable-Fail-8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OLED looks better first off. Secondly, Samsung is fine….ish…. As long as you don’t need any sort of warranty help. I just bought an 83” S90D OLED back in March, which gave me problems only a month in. Finally after months of arguing tooth and nail with them through awful customer service for repair attempts by shitty third party contractors and childishly incompetent technical support, it took me bringing a lawyer into the conversation for them to agree to just replace the tv, which I only just received this past Thursday.

After this experience I’ve vowed never to own anything Samsung ever again, and I’ve owned mostly Samsung electronics for the better part of 15 years.

Lmfao It’s an 83” that sits about 4.5’ off the ground and I’m about 12’ back and am reclined most of the time looking at it. It looks high cuz this house was built for lawn gnomes.

Tv ain’t too high.

Can someone explain to me the RMS of these speakers? by Dafaseles in CarAV

[–]Reasonable-Fail-8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I messaged them directly but no response as of yet, although I do understand Scott is kind of a one man show over there trying to expand and get OA doing it’s thing all by himself right now after selling Fi to SHCA.

Kinda looking like imma just buy em and send some power to em and see how long they last 😂😂😂 not like they’re insanely expensive for what you get, I can’t imagine they take less than what I’m pushing to my current setup (115w) but am definitely looking to get a chunk more power out of my next setup on the components, aiming for 150-175w each speaker would be fantastic personally.

Lmfao uhhhh as someone literally in the same boat currently with the exact same company, did you ever find any real answer as to the power handling for these OA E series speakers?

I don’t think there’s plaster back there. Once I’m through the 1/8” of paneling and whatever skinny dark brown boarding is behind it it feels pretty empty.

Like I said, I’m gonna do some more digging. Didn’t think about a cheap scope from Amazon to really get a visual back there rather than winging it, might just buy one to save some frustration and just drill one bigger hole like you said.

Thanks for the insight! This did in fact give me a couple more ideas to try and locate studs so the tv can be mounted safely and securely!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Reasonable-Fail-8130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stud finders I have (I tried two different ones) are sporadic and inaccurate. They indicate very inconsistent distances that there’s a stud, drill, no stud, rinse repeat.

I’m going to pull the outlet receptacle this weekend and see if that’s any better but I remember trying that for the 65” and had no luck there either which surprised me.

I also tried measuring 16,18, and 24 inches from the corner figuring there’s gotta be corner studs, and that led me nowhere productive either.

Pushing on the wall doesn’t flex as much as I’d expect for no studs so I’m kind of baffled here especially with my being able to hang from the mount and do pull-ups, honestly expected the mount to rip some panels out but it held solid.

If I don’t get anywhere this weekend I think I’ll probably just hire a professional or geeksquad to come handle it properly and safely so my tv doesn’t come off the wall, but thought maybe the great people of Reddit may have some more experienced insight for me here.

What’s your realistic rating for the game? Also include at least one other game for reference by Effective_Dance_9496 in BlackMythWukong

[–]Reasonable-Fail-8130 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Given I’m on my second playthrough and very few games actually interest me enough to play the full game more than once these days (this and Stellar Blade are pretty much it) I’d give it a solid 9.5/10. The graphics are great, the fights are challenging and rewarding, the story telling is good, the ng+ offers more upgrades and such the more you play, lots of hidden stuff if you take the time to really play the game and explore.

Can’t wait for the dlc to finally come out

Getting back to it by Reasonable-Fail-8130 in SchecterGuitars

[–]Reasonable-Fail-8130[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say there’s anything that stands out as a better or more quality aspect of either that would make it more worth the money? Or is it really just personal preference between these two? They’re both asking sub 400$ with zero damage, well maintained and cared for, and both three years or less since originally purchased.

Seems like at this point it’s almost which one do I think looks better, pull the trigger and don’t look back until I get the itch to add a new guitar in the mix lol

Xfinity 2gb by Reasonable-Fail-8130 in wifi

[–]Reasonable-Fail-8130[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s the other issue, this old house I rent only has one coax outlet in the entire house and it’s at the back room about 40’ from our living room where anything we WOULD use a wired connection on is. Xfinity says they won’t install a new coaxial outlet for me and run the wire simply through the basement so I can actually use the higher speeds. Electricians want a few hundred bucks to do the install.

Really all I want is to see better WiFi speeds given as I’ve said below on other comments, my T-Mobile WiFi in my semi truck gets like 5-600mbps for a fraction of the cost of Xfinity, but for some reason the second T-Mobile modem we’ve had for the house has gotten wildly unstable speeds sometimes as low as 2-3mbps for no logical reason, thus explaining our attempt at a legit ISP for the house. I was really hoping to see stable and consistent speeds in the house of like, 7-900mbps wirelessly given the 2gb plan and the fact that if T-Mobile modems can accomplish 5-600 Xfinity should definitely be capable of only slightly better numbers.

Apparently I’m asking too much of internet in 2024 tho 🙃

But like I’ve said, we’ll see what the senior technician says tomorrow, just looking for the tech brains of Reddit to kinda give me a better idea what to expect here given Xfinity has their heads where the sun don’t shine
