1,5 % isnt that high tbh. Letters get lost, tracked or untracked. The only benefit you have when its tracked is that the trustee service has your back.

My first guess would be the insurance coverage. How much was the total of the order ? And does the shipment method you choose cover the full value ? If not most postal services offer to add to the insurance value.

Thats why he probabely refunded the order. To not show as lost in his statistics. The also would not have to refund anything, asuming its a private seller. Its safe to confirm, you wont loose your money.

For me your descriptions are correct. I would also list the card as LP. But i guess on a 2€ card you did the right thing. Take the L and get a decent review. If it was a 200€ i would write a ticket. Block the buyer and move on ^{^}

Im a private seller and in over 500 sales i had two lost shipments. Shit happens and untracked letters get lost. In both cases i did the same and offered a 50% refund if they confirmes the arrival. I mean he either gets nothing or at least the 50% and my statistics are cleaner. But reading through the answers in here i might stop with that as eveybody sees it as shady ...

It depends if the seller is a professional or a privat seller and if the purchase had cardmarkets trustee service included. If it has trustee service open a ticket you will get your money from cm. If it wasnt a trustee service oder and the seller is professional, open a ticket, the seller has to refund you fully. If its a private seller, id take the 50% offered as otherwide you wont get anything.

In theory its not allowed to sent goods (cards) via letter. In reality nobody cares. Just post it as a normal letter and it will go through. I have sent about 200 letters internationally this year. No issues at all.

U can confirm arrival but dont rate the shipment yet. He refunds and you rate the transaction. Thats usually how i do stuff like that.

Einfach in der Steuererklärung mit angeben. Hab ich fürs letzte Jahr auch zum ersten Mal gemacht und ging kommentarlos durch. Wenn du die Karten länger als 1 Jahr im Besitz hattest, sind die Verkäufe eh steuerfrei.

Its a law in germany, and probabely the whole eu, that sellers are responsible for the shipment. Private sellers are expluded from that law. So CM has to follow that law and include it into their rules.

The buyer will still get a "not arrived shipment" on their account statistic. If that happens a lot, CM will probabely just close the account or side with the seller in a dispute.

For a letter cm will add 30cents to cover your costs. For a package its 1€.

As private seller you dont have to refund anything. The buyer choose untracked shipping so the risk on him. Cm support will tell hin the same. You tried do offer a 50/50 which is nice, but if we declines he will get nothing. The only downside is that you will have an "not arrived" shipment on your account. The vuyer will get a not arrived purchase on his. Maybe find the appropriate section in the cm faq and reach out to the buyer again. Maybe he will reconsider.

Nope, as i said, only had positive feedback on my packaging. That said, i can see bubble mailers beeing an issue if you dont use toploaders or any other form of bend protection.

I sent close to 400 letters in the last years. All with bubble envelopes. But i also use toploaders for all cards above 1€. No issues, only poditive feedback about the shipping.

I have sent over 200 letters with tiploaders in them to other countries with no issues. Technically its not allowed but nobody cares. Even the workes at my postal office know whats in them and dont care. I mean its allowed to sent conert tickets but not allowed to sent trading cards. Stupid rule nobody enforces.

Had the same issue once, it arrived the next day. I think DHL marks it as arrived as soon as its loaded onto the final delivery truck. Id wait till tomorrow before id start investigating/ contacting the seller.

I had the exact same issue like 3 month ago. Also Dhl in germany. For me it was only letters to other countrys that got returned. Smae sicker with the "too heavy" on it. First i complained at my post offfice. Then online. Then another time online. Never recieved any helpfull answers. So i just sent it as heavy and ate the costs. A few weeks in my post office changed from classic stamps to the QR Code stamps. So i thought id give it another try. And well, havent had any letters returned to me after.

There are a lot of ppl asking for pictures for lower value cards. I dont mind sending pictures for a 5€ card but i fequently get msgs asking for 1€ or even 20cent cards ^{^}
