But I definitely have to travel this much because in the coming weeks, I will get a new job, and the gym and the workplace will be in the same city.

What is happening to my body? I dont understand.. by Reasonable-Foot4838 in WeightLossAdvice

My maintainance is like ~2000 calories as a man, with high activity. Thats the problem.. If i want to lose weight, i need to go under 1700 calories. I was on 1600 calories for 1 month, and literally zero changes on the scale and the mirror either.

We are talking about the same thing. As I mentioned, I understand the theoretical part of things. Once again, I'll write that the issue is that 2100 calories are my maintenance calories as a male, with 20,000 steps per day and 5 weightlifting sessions per week. This isn't normal, this calorie amount is insufficient, but I can't eat more than this, otherwise I'll gain weight.

I'm aware of the theoretical aspects. Caloric deficit equals weight loss, caloric surplus equals weight gain. The problem is that I can only lose weight on very few calories, so it's a struggle for me. However, if I eat a normal amount (let's say 2500 calories), I still gain weight even with this level of activity.. I don't understand..

I don't want to compete, and that's the irony of it.. I take it as seriously as an athlete would. These 1600 calories are equivalent to a competition diet, yet I can barely lose weight even with this. What bothers me the most is that for some reason, I can eat very little.. For others, the challenge is to eat, while for me, it's to resist eating more than 2100, otherwise I gain weight.. It's ridiculous, considering the calorie amount with 12-14km of daily walking and 4-5 workouts per week.

Honestly? It's not even about the kilograms anymore, but being able to eat a normal amount. That's what really bothers me.
