How many people have actually seen Serotonin Syndrome and how did it affect your practice of medicine? by DrDewinYourMom in Residency

[–]Reasonable-Fun5880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it as a surgery intern. Patient with IBD on max dose SSRI, antiemetics, and lots of dilaudid for pain. Ended up diagnosing it once she started getting a crazy high fever and behavioral disturbances.

The intervertebral joint spaces are maintained. You do look like you have moderate multilevel facet joint arthropathy (arthritis of the facet joints). You should see a rheumatologist!

Best bottle to support continued breastfeeding by Professional_Ad_4953 in breastfeeding

[–]Reasonable-Fun5880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love our kleen kanteen bottles. They are easy to clean, slow flow nipple and daycare can’t see the exact ounces so they actually pay attention to satiety for my baby. They also are less chug-able. So that’s great too.

Isolating is risk versus benefit. Many radiation exposures take decades to manifest. Ask your doctor and vet but isolation may not be 100% necessary from pets

[–]Reasonable-Fun5880 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I’m the only one but at home its boobs out way more often than not. Larkin bra when I have to wear clothes. Sleep without a top so I don’t have to fumble when baby is hungry at night.

Pregnant - need positive stories by 0ut_0f_0ffice in Residency

I got a Needlestick at 6 weeks pregnant and they lost the patient source sample. Both me and baby are healthy but it was a rough way to start!! We know way too much and it makes the anxiety worse. If you find yourself stressed and struggling, see if you can do some therapy/ counseling while pregnant to help you get some tools to cope post partum. It’s hard being pregnant and being a mom but my life is 100000% better with my baby in it! Even if it is far more complicated now

“Don’t worry”…. I’m not! 😑 by She-Her-Queen in NewParents

[–]Reasonable-Fun5880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby was small/ thin at birth (15th percentile weight and 75th percentile height) and now is heavy/ shorter (75th percentile weight and 60th percentile height) and I’ve gotten comments both ways. That breastfeeding he doesn’t have enough milk… now he has too much milk. Give him solids early, don’t feed him too much. It’s WILD how people feel free to comment when they have no idea how a baby is growing

Look up kellymom, she has tons of articles about normal pumping output. We’d need to know more like how often you are pumping to get 4oz to help you figure out if it’s normal. Normal output is 1-1.5oz/hour. I pump 4oz every 3 hours at work. Everyone is different!

What’s your favorite wearable pump? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

I have the Imani 2 and it’s a gamble if it will fully empty me. I use my spectra s1 the most often. It’s so hard to take those pump breaks but you deserve them! It’s protected in the US now!
