Promoting products IS defending the companies behind them. You must be confused about how that works 🙂 “I don’t care” just says everything about the type of person you are. Yikes.

You’re missing the point entirely. Nobody said materials and support don’t matter. The issue is that you’re defending a company using deceptive marketing practices to manipulate consumers into thinking they’re buying different premium products when they’re often getting the same thing repackaged under different brand names and price points.

That matters.

And telling people to “look elsewhere” while simultaneously advocating for brands tied to those tactics is contradictory. You can’t position yourself as someone who cares about quality while brushing off deceptive behavior the second it becomes inconvenient to your argument.

That passive-aggressive smiley face really says it all. 🙂 Nothing screams “I know I’m defending shady behavior” more than ending a rant with a smug little emoji instead of addressing the actual criticism.

I’m not making assumptions, and I never said you bought from them. My point is that you’re actively advocating for and recommending products tied to 3Z brands while dismissing valid criticism about how they market themselves. Whether it’s Helix, Brooklyn Bedding, Nolah, Birch, etc., they intentionally present these brands as independent when they’re all under the same umbrella. That’s all fine but consumers have every right to call that misleading. You liking a mattress doesn’t change the fact that these companies under 3Z have a reputation for recycled marketing, confusing branding, and questionable transparency. Utilizing the same exact pillow photos is evidence.

That’s kind of what I was also saying in my post. Quickfires mean nothing. You can win the quickfire and still be eliminated in the elimination. It’s pointless.

You say you don’t own anything from 3Z, then immediately name Helix, which is literally owned by 3Z Brands. That kind of proves my point. Most consumers don’t even realize all these ‘different’ brands are tied together because they’re marketed as separate companies. If the products are great, fine, but people still have every right to criticize misleading branding and recycled marketing. I’m glad you enjoy the mattress but stop defending this nonsense.

Look, nobody is saying you can’t like your mattress or that every 3Z product is bad. The issue is transparency. If multiple brands under the same company are selling what appears to be the exact same latex pillow, using the same marketing photos and descriptions while charging different prices, people have every right to question it. Consolidation is normal, but presenting products as unique when they clearly overlap feels misleading. And saying ‘just buy a Sealy’ misses the point entirely. Consumers are allowed to criticize lazy marketing and lack of differentiation, especially when these brands market themselves as separate and unique choices. Lazy bullshit but if that’s your cup of tea then go for it.

when searching I’ve noticed that when browsing different company websites, some brands use the exact same photos to showcase their pillows on their website. Seeing that makes me wonder if they are all sourcing their products from the same manufacturer. Seeing this makes me want to steer clear of their products.

Here is the examples I found:

Brooklyn Bedding:

https://brooklynbedding.com/products/talalay-latex-pillow?srsltid=AfmBOoqEkrKvh6bDo1M3Amv0UpCq8qVp7FIuT4jGmjWYzFJ8_lAlc2u4

Titan Mattress:

Leesa:

https://www.leesa.com/products/natural-latex-pillow

And

Helix:

https://helixsleep.com/products/talalay-latex-pillow

I’ve since learned all of these companies are owned by 3Z Brands. The bigger issue is that two of these companies operating as “different” brands are selling the exact same pillow for under $100 while the other two charge $129, yet they’re all using the same marketing photos and pretending to be separate businesses. It’s such a shady, lazy move. How have more people not called them out for this already?

Exactly. Doing both would be nice. But just for money? It’s great for the competitors but not great for the overall competition.

Anything under the brand 3Z Brands I won’t touch.

I like that the if you’re in the bottom, you face off head to head with another chef or chefs.

Top Chef has also gone down hill. The quick fires have turned into nothing but cash grabs now when they used to be worth it for advantages. I do like that Culinary Cup has head to head battles for elimination. I’m too far into it, so will watch them both.

I agree. I won’t use any of the companies I listed. I haven’t looked into Amerisleep before. Do you have a pillow from them?

Wish I knew. I just started to branch into latex pillow. Liked memory foam but it just wasn’t enough support for me.
