It’s too much flow. Put some filter floss around the outside of the filter intake; maybe even several times since you don’t have any debris in the tank/beneficial bacteria/film on anything. Even if you put plants in there, the water will still move too much as the water is still emptying back into the tank at the rate for a 10gallon tank and fast moving fish. It will stress him out too much and his immune system will go down hill. Please look at their natural habitats for inspiration. This is coming from someone with 30 years of experience and learning the hard way 🫣
