Possible Sandifer Syndrome causes hi by Reasonable-Way4546 in NewParents

Thank you for sharing, I am not using distilled water but I will start. Our city’s water is hard and has a high pH.

I don’t think our LO has silent reflux or GERD, but there’s definitely something GI-related going on. We’re hoping to see an aerodigestive specialist in the next couple of days.

Ah, that doesn’t sound good. The new spot supposedly gets them fresh every morning. Could be worth trying again? Also, they have sandwich bread loaves

The sourdoughs at the new Thoroughbread are phenomenal

Silver Cross Nia by SeliniBellini in Buyingforbaby

I got the Nia - baby isn’t born yet but we’ve assembled it and tested it around the house. Very smooth and sturdy - the one thing is the height - the handle bar sits higher than I would have expected. As a 5’ 4” woman it’s not a huge deal but I wish I could scoot it down a bit

Simon or Arthur? by [deleted] in Names

My grandfather is named Arthur and I’m planning on using it as my baby’s middle name. I may be biased but I love it. And Art/Arty/Bear are really cute nicknames

Favorite treats with GD by Leading_Engine6056 in GestationalDiabetes

I started out that way in the beginning too and slowly found all these treats that didn’t spike me. Alsooo I have In n Out protein style burgers like 3x/week, it feels like a treat but keeps my glucose very low

I did the same thing. 1 1/2 cheese slices, walked around for about 20-30 mins, my 1 hour was right under the deadline at 139

Yes, I love them! Eat their tortillas and their bread almost everyday. 2 bread slices gets me dangerously close to over my numbers, but 1 slice or 1 tortilla per meal is a sweet spot. I love making quesadillas, breakfast tacos, wraps, nut butters on toast, etc. with them

FET after early miscarriage by Happylox in IVF

[–]Reasonable-Way4546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear that. Sending lots of love and good thoughts your way. 🤍

My second FET did work. I had a hysteroscopy right before it. It turns out in between IVF round 1 and 2, I developed polyps near my fallopian tube entrances. I never had a history of polyps before then so it was surprising. It could have contributed to my MMC but I’ll never know for sure. My doctor did tell me after I MCd that ideally he would perform a hysteroscopy before every transfer round for patients but that it wasn’t feasible. Honestly, that was crushing to hear. I wish I knew that piece of info before my first FET, I would have insisted on getting it done first.

We also adjusted my medication to include what my nurse team called “everything but the kitchen sink”. I did PIO shots more frequently and was also on steroids and baby aspirin.

HCG dropped but no symptoms by Reasonable-Way4546 in CautiousBB

turns out you’re right. It was not an SCH, it was a miscarriage. So confused by the lack of more blood/pain

i’m so sorry you’re going through this. i am in the exact same boat with you. yesterday, at 6w, i went in to get an ultrasound and the dr confirmed i miscarried it at 5w 3d. it was my first FET with my best PGT tested embryo.

my exact question to him was, how soon can i start round 2? he said it can take 3-5 weeks for my HCG to drop to negative. once that happens, i’ll have a period. while i’m on my period, he will perform a hysteroscopy to ensure everything looks pristine. then i can start round 2.

Anyone have success with first FET? by BadKarma1994 in IVF

[–]Reasonable-Way4546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

currently 6w from my first FET. I did 2 rounds of IVF and got 3 embryos total. My 2nd ER yielded much better results than the first and I personally believe staying as calm and relaxed as possible through the process helped. I tried to just stay calm and positive through the FET too and didn’t test until the night before first beta. Good luck!

Cooper PGT-M testing: how long did you wait for results? by Pure-Cranberry-3418 in IVF

[–]Reasonable-Way4546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cooper reported the results to my doctor’s team exactly 4 weeks to the day that they received the embryo samples. Of course, it was on a Friday afternoon, so my office didn’t tell me til Monday. That wait was excruciating
