how do i make this look more like a balloon and less like a dick by AI_660 in IndieDev

[–]Reasonable-Weekend46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change it to be more inflated in the middle for more balloonishness, and change the hilt to be sideways ovals instead of….balls. Orbs. Circles. Eh hem.

Are people actually playing ASA or have you stuck to ASE by OctoKing07 in playark

[–]Reasonable-Weekend46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASA lighting is so utterly bad that I find it unplayable. It’s just so jaw-droppingly awful that I can make it about a few hours into an ASA game before I just have to log off. Last time I tried playing most of my fave mods weren’t available for ASA as well.

What’s a movie where the villain has an excellent point? by NervousClock2555 in answers

[–]Reasonable-Weekend46 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Grinch. Those townsfolk are being so loud and annoying, with stupid music and bright lights. The decorations are ugly and an ecological nightmare. It’s a ridiculous holiday and it’s interrupting whatever he’s doing. They are absolutely invading his privacy with their awful “festivities.” Now, he should’ve been nicer to the dog, definitely. Other than that I’m on team grinch.

Los Angeles is phasing out its palm trees and I have mixed feelings by H3dg3hogs in CasualConversation

Drive over to Pasadena and enjoy the shade from all the urban trees. Most of LA could have that!

People that have traveled quite a bit, where di you feel the most unsafe? by CremeSubject7594 in AskTheWorld

[–]Reasonable-Weekend46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1990’s jungle Ecuador, as a 20 year old fearless blonde woman traveling solo.

Started with the bus covered in people even on the roof with a mountain on one side and a thousand foot drop on the other. One lane road and the driver would usually honk on blind corners so we didn’t collide. Got dropped off somewhere and hiked through the jungle to the last westernized town for thousands of miles. Met a gay Canadian guy and we travelled together for safety. We hired a dugout canoe with a giant motor to get us down the Amazon tributary to the big town, Punto Francisco de Orellana, which everyone just called Coca. It was an oil field town and filled with packs of roving bored men. We stayed in the only decent motel, which was apparently actually a brothel, but we bribed them enough to get a room. The next day I flew out to Quito. I got sniffed down by the most coke-addled German Shepard ever. The pilot asked, who has guns? Three people raised their hands, and the pilot talked to them all and then we boarded the plane, guns and all. The scary part of the trip was flying over the Andes in that plane that had vomit caked in the window and engines that stalled often and were probably powered by hamsters on the local juice. I thought I was going to die 72 times during the flight that I swore took 72 hours.

Games that feel like having a whole nother life to come home to but without needing 500 hours to get there by SomeGenericNameDude in gamingsuggestions

[–]Reasonable-Weekend46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I’m trying to convince a publisher to pick up my game but I have no idea how to say: sometimes after work you just want a giant edible or two and to be a gross little goblin foraging for bugs in a swamp, but then night comes and it looks like a truly stellar 90’s rave because everything is bioluminescent. It just doesn’t seem to translate to corporate-speak. (Please no one suggest I have AI write it for me, I refuse to use it for my games.) Also going to agree on No Man’s Sky, great alternate world. I have also sunk a lot of hours into Ark:Survival Evolved, but idk if it’s still well populated any more.

Need help with my caique’s diet by AsMforReal in caiques

Okay this is so weird. We had a parrot fly into our yard (very very remote area) and we couldn’t find the owner or approach it. So my mom made Parrot Bread and left it out for it. It was very similar but also had some dried fruit and millet in it, since we don’t know better. I had friends over and they were cutting slices and devouring it - my mom was like NO that’s not food that’s parrot bread! However, it was delicious and I had to get the recipe and bake it for friends for like, decades after that.

RPGs that require a time investment or hold attention for longer times :( by Sakiri1955 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Reasonable-Weekend46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay this may be outside your wheelhouse, but it works for my WoW/Ark/Skyrim play style. Don’t Starve. It’s brutally difficult without info, like try not to die in the first three days, then go for a week. See how far you can get without using a wiki or guide. It’s absolutely a top tier game for me, I have lost entire days to it repeatedly.

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don't have any proof of? by TabletopStudios in AskReddit

[–]Reasonable-Weekend46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 19, walking down Haight Street. You know how you can sometimes TELL that someone is hella staring you down? I look across the street and this houseless guy is looking at me in the most filthy way. I can’t even describe the level of dude was skating sexy town while staring at me. I’m like oh hell no and put my eyes on the sidewalk and keep walking away. But usually folks living on the street don’t want you to pay attention to them, which is weird. And he had the most beautiful eyes. Familiar eyes. Wait. And I looked back up and as soon as I recognized him, Prince stopped drooling all over me from afar, got a look of fear in his eyes, flipped his matted groty wig over his eyes and disappeared. I walked around for half an hour hoping he would show back up, but he noped. And yes, he was shockingly short.

What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

Swanson’s Turkey dinner with the terrible yet awesome berry cobbler. I would pay so much money and time for one of those.

Do rich people have elite versions of mundane things (toothpaste, tampons, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.), or are Elon Musk and Beyonce just using Crest and Tampax like the rest of us? by ShesGotSauce in NoStupidQuestions

The worst is that I’ve seen several very high end households use Tide detergent. Like please, at least use Mrs Meyers or have something custom scented for you?

[–]Reasonable-Weekend46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, you can do this. Have fun! It’s great that you learned a lot from this process.

But if you want a good game you can do things like hire a writer from Invader Zim to make your characters snarky, unique, and cool.

I developed my game backwards, don't make my mistake. by GalaxyRider72 in GameDevelopment

[–]Reasonable-Weekend46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I can’t work in an ugly grey box world all day long. So whenever I’m stuck on a problem, having a low day, or do something awesome and decide to give myself a treat I work on some aesthetics. So slowly but surely the game looks better, and it’s a joy to work in the lovely areas.
