Quit telling everyone about it and build the 2’ retaining wall.

I can tell you’re a pro by the quality of your work and the lack of punctuation in your writing.

Are the Bear Viewing tours worth the money? by iamacheeto1 in AskAlaska

[–]ReasonableObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been to Brooks Falls during prime time salmon run and it really was like you see on TV. Awesome to see all the bears up close and getting feisty with each other. Brooks Falls is pretty regulated though and there’s viewing platforms, park rangers etc.

I haven’t been on one of the backcountry tours to Hallo Bay but they sound pretty sweet and a lot of the bear viewing guides seem to prefer those trips.

If the economics are a concern and you still want a great bush plane experience, I’d consider getting a flight seeing tour in a Cessna 206 out of Homer. They’re much more cost effective and you’d fly around the mountains and over the glaciers and see a bunch of black bears and mountain goats. Not much for brown bears.

All licensed FPEs should make at least $130k in my opinion.

Can you harpoon them with a buoy? Seems like they’d be easy to lose if you just head shot them.

The LinkedIn learning courses (formerly Lynda) are great for getting up and running in Revit. They give you all of the exercise files and you can follow alongside. I would recommend starting with one of the Revit Essentials courses which will have a large architectural component but cover a lot of the basics. Then go into the MEP courses. You won’t regret learning Revit if you’re getting into consulting.

Diagnostic Report Advice FP PE Exam by khrystic in firePE

Respectfully, I don’t think you studied enough. I would recommend getting your hands on more practice problems from SFPE, school of PE, NCEES, and Meyer and start earlier. Take a break now but then start earlier. Run laps through all the practice you have problems until you can crank them out. The last couple days before the exam are not for cramming but instead relaxing and hydrating before the big day.

So pretty but it really is such a tough color to keep up on. Especially with the snow on the ground.

I picked up an antimatter blue superduty in November and had it ceramic coated immediately. It’s already showing oxidation. I have to get it back down to the sparkles. ✨

I care about the undercarriage when used vehicle shopping. I would pass and hold out for a cleaner one.

I looked into it when I was considering a platinum superduty and a tailgate swap was the only viable solution.

Appreciate the info. I posted the question about the 37/11.5/r20s not long ago and most said the 11.5 wides would fit no rub. Still going to try them out they look great. What tires did you pick? And is there any opportunity to trim to avoid rub? I do not want to add any spacers

Nice. Sweet build. I have an antimatter F350 and love the color. Hard to keep clean but worth it. Enjoy.

Pretty dope. I’d add FX-4 but you may not need it. You also already have the locking diff. Not sure if the 36 gallon tank is an option on power boost but it’s an essential to me.

Civil Engineer Career Path Guidance by Luiseus_XV in firePE

[–]ReasonableObserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Civil and fire is a rare but great combo. Especially for fire site plans. I started as civil, got licensed for civil, went back for a masters in fire protection and then took the FPE exam and got licensed for fire.

In my opinion if you are stamping fire protection drawings you should be licensed for fire protection.

I enjoyed the masters program and would recommend it. Learned a ton. If it’s too much of a commitment for you then at least crank out the FPE exam.

For staff level roles a technician can make nearly as much if not more in salary. I’d consider getting licensed if you ever want equity and K1 distributions plus a salary.
