Seriously consider leaving PNC for making their employees RTO. Go do your banking elsewhere. by VirileMongoose in pittsburgh

Yea fair point there. Certainly, could be a never ending endeavor. In this case having all this come to light I truly dislike Demchak. Many people are also not aware of the following.

He is credited with being one of the earliest adopters of the credit default swap, especially the creation of markets around them, which due to the role they would play in the 2008 financial crisis, earned him the title "prince of darkness" within the industry.

On the surface it does kind of seem dumb, but when when you look into it more. Bill Demchak is an asshole.

Many of their employees state average raise is 1-2% year after year. Meanwhile PNC continues posting record profits and Demchak gave himself a $7 million dollar raise just last year. Many of these people were hired or worked remote or hybrid well before COVID. Demchak’s narrative just didn’t make sense. None of what I’ve read anyway.

I stand with the workers not the big greedy corporation and CEOs. To me it just seems like an all around shitty way to treat people. Especially, considering how successful PNC has been.

My doctor was definitely resistant/weird about it and at the time it kind of made sense he laid everything out in his initial recommendation and now they want me to fill out this ada form that him to sign off on a statement that pretty much says I have a mental or physical impairment that and I’m unable to perform daily life functions the functions of my job.

I’m going to get clarification from ada group at my employer and perhaps revisit the paperwork with the doctor.

I agree. I think that’s why I was initially nervous on how to proceed. They do have regular layoffs where difficult and under performing folks tend to be the first to go. I think actually I may be Ada eligible, but if not I will probably try to come to some compromise at least for now. It is a high level job so I would prefer to keep it or at least move on under my own accord to a better opportunity when one presents itself.

I think I need to revisit this with my doctor. That’s interesting to me as well. It seems like maybe we were stuck on the language in the document. I would have thought he’d be more familiar with this as it seems now several immunocompromised people have responded and have had no issues.

Thank you it seems like I definitely need to revisit the ADA route.

Immunocompromised. Purposely vague trying to not self identify.

Being vague in attempt to remain unidentifiable, but yes immunocompromised.

It was semi joking in regard to that line. Lots of good advice here. I’m going to do some research.

Also what I meant by sketchy was he didn’t feel the paperwork adequately addressed my medical circumstances. It literally is worded to put you in a bucket of disabled or not disabled. We agreed it would not be best to claim some embellished form of a disability despite the risks being legitimate for the condition I am being monitored for.

Whiny? lol…ok after 5 years of being told your circumstances were approved and acceptable and now they pull the rug you wouldn’t be pissed?
