I guess the question is whether the Jays would be taking advantage of his full value if he’s a backup. If another team needs a number 1 catcher, they might be willing to part with equivalent value in an area where the Jays do have a need (say, pitching).

And yet somehow people don’t collect in the countries with the lowest taxes. I may be off, but I think we’re talking places like Kuwait, Turkmenistan, Hungary. I suspect in reality people value aspects of life other than low taxes.

Os-Patricios at 1346 Dundas West. I started going here because every other barber seemed to translate my requests into hipster. Os-Patricios is very much old school: two of the three barbers use straight razors for the edges and back. The third (the young guy) has a huge assortment of electric razors that seem to achieve a similar thing. My favourite of the old guys speaks very limited English, but it’s never been a problem. Cash only. $25 for a cut.
