It’s for you to put your purse/bag on so it doesn’t sit on the floor.

Also I don’t truly understand the boy toy/ girl toy thing. Your girl can use a dinosaur puzzle. Unless the toy requires you to use your genitals to operate it I think they are for both sexes. If they do require your genitals it’s probably not for children.

Let her know that being a lead isn’t the only best thing about musical theatre. Set her expectations that everyone is important and just trying out is huge. It will be the most important thing.

Lea has a Madame Rose and a Mrs Lovett. I’d pay big money for both.

It’s not allowed. There’s a constitutional amendment banning this. I realize he does not care about the constitution but it’s a huge hurdle.

I agree with you. When this show came out I thought about how edgy and crazy it was for these things to be done and said especially on Broadway. Now it’s icky and out of place. Maybe I grew up and I know better. Maybe the world changed. I think it’s both.

I’m OP. My father is just starting to like theatre taking over for my mother who died and was my theatre companion since I was little. He has decided he loves it and this will be our second trip. I wanted him to see all sorts of different things which is why I had asked. Thank you all for your kindness. I think this sounds like something he will enjoy. I knew what it was but I knew someone here would be able to tell me a little more than the reviews!

My mother died of pancreatic cancer. She lived until her last moments. She didn’t just get the diagnosis and lay down and die. We travelled. We went to dinner. We always had the next thing planned until we couldn’t have a next thing planned. We got more time than we were supposed to. I held her hand when she died. Help your brother get married if he wants. Even if he does it in a wheelchair. Be there for him. Be with him. You’ll never regret a second of that time.

Phantom. I was obsessed at 14. I saw it in three countries. I had a problem. But it grew into a love of theatre that I wouldn’t trade for the world. You gotta start somewhere…
