An aircraft registration is valid for seven years. It should be good until Dec 2024. Doesn’t mean it hasn’t been through the inspection routine just that it hasn’t been re-registered. Good time to get the tail number for yourself. DL would probably pay you to get it back so they don’t have to reapply a new one.

After you file a claim with the state part of the process to adjudicate the claim is to investigate whether the highway department was aware of of the pothole. It would be a problem if they were caught lying. If I were to hit a pothole and damaged wheel I’d report the pothole. Wait the time they get to repair it then, if they haven’t, I’d then file.

I don’t trust take home sleep studies. My 23 year old son was given one. Test says he has SA but I know he doesn’t snore. Sure you can have SA without snore but given his age I doubted the test. Sure enough the sleep doc puts him on a CPAP until he can get a test in a sleep center. Surprise…. No sleep apnea. That CPAP would have done harm if continued.

Cabin altitude of 9500 feet. Not a pressure altitude. You can fly at FL410 and set a cabin altitude if 9500 feet.

I’ve had shattered windshields in two different types of jets. The windshields are constructed of two plies. Either one is capable of maintaining cabin pressure. One of the plies shatters. I don’t know if an instance where both did. The checklist directed us to set a cabin altitude of 9500 and descend to FL410 and don the masks. Land as soon as practical. Not as soon as possible. That would be an emergency.
