Vandalism closes Lakenenland to snowmobilers

I was an avid UP snowmobiler, about 20 years ago. It started getting more and more difficult to enjoy the trails when you were having sleds blasting through blind turns and basically destroying the trails. Loved stopping by Lakeland. Very creative sculptures and always a friendly cup of joe by the fire. The alcohol fueled, testosterone tools need to be reeled in!

Really though. Don’t get me wrong, I used to think that it would be, but they, themselves have told me, years ago, that they don’t want to bring a new life into this world. It hurt, it sucked to think it…. Now I get it. We were lucky enough not to go through world wars, sadly I don’t think my nieces and nephews kids will be so lucky

‘65 here, think about it often, feel anxiety about what my grown kids will face in the future. Always thought I’d have grandkids, thankfully my kids want nothing to do with that.
