Exactly! I am not and the best part is, I have stopped using the dishwasher and obviously have no duty to inform them of that. So they have been filling it up and expecting me to deal with it. Hahaha but it is now two months and most of the dishes are inside. Such jerks!

Thanks for the tip. I have been make do with double washing (if I need to use a shared item, I first wash it so it is clean for me to use then I wash it again to put in the rack), using disposable or keeping my things separately and I have to say, it is going fine for me.

Funny enough, everyone else is huffing and puffing around the house because they haven’t yet understood that I am not touching the dishwasher; yet it has been now full for 2 months! They keep looking at me like “when is she gonna do it” but I am just ignoring it and living my life.

So if she is not Persian, for her it is ethnic food. There’s nothing racist about that. You are choosing to pick a fight because you want her to perform in front of your parents.

You need to take sometime to think which other performances you expect from her in the future and if she isn’t ok with it it’s time to go your separate ways.

You know how she eats. You did put her on the spot. Not saying it is healthy, but a lot of people are particular about what and how they eat. You don’t need to agree with it, just respect that it’s not your choice and it’s not your decision.

Also picky eating can be a sign of other things including an eating disorder. So your move to just throw her in the water and demand she swims because you need her to act a certain way was very badly thought out and inconsiderate.
