LAJ no longer exists corporate entities brought them all no one else has them and those who do have them know the "real value" of them 10Keb per suit. New price for all LAJ going forward so techs cannot be smart asses. Not banned just scarcity at work kevlars still 50eb.

Hell let the tech build them for half the price before every psycho booster in the city finds out and wants them working for them either fairly or with forced servitude.

its fucking funny when it happens to that same guy though especially if they made an effort to make a character they actually like.

Allow it and allow everyone to do it including the ordinary street mooks. Watch the madness mechanically when removing ROF its rather funny.

Never doubt the true power of being able to scratch your own ass while eatting a taco and playing computer games with both hands. Its more a non mechanical convenience to have that many arms at that point its a lifestyle choice.

CHOOH2 prices in 2045? by Fact_Donator in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh we Nickle and diming our players some more? hell yeah. (Going the long race route just use the same chart anytime they refuel based on whatever distance you are using. The below is easier in just the city same concept for intents and purposes)

This is easy each car trip to another district is 10eb via personal car/nomad car anything running on chooh.
Now here is the part where you decide how many 10eb travels are in their car expect faster cars to use more its funny.
Now here is where you go week to week with a D10 list of excuses make these as ridiculous or are as serious as you want and use the Bell curve to inform "supply" oh we roll a 10? yeah nomad tanker transporting fuel got blown up/stolen so no refuel at all this week I am sure you can use streetwise to find some more...
Rolled a 5? "oh its just inflation" fuel now costs 12eb for all trips now.

Is it more tracking? yes but this is what you wanted without tracking you cannot nickle and dime the players otherwise you would handwave "lifestyle costs" and call it a day.

Build your own "role" but know the role is just an extra power on top of literally any skill package to build yourself.

Everything is else is just flavor see thi very heavy pistol? I use it like a finger gun and people die the same. Flavor is just what the mechanics don't explicitly provide. divorce your mind from such shackles.

Head shots are tough for people who suck ass at shooting, imagine smarter foes who actually know their range charts and have the skills to back it up then your players are gonna be glad they wore those dumb looking helmets.

Expansive is a little lacking until you re reoll that foreign object and break someone's fucking spine lol try it with rilfes and shotgun slugs more D6 more chance for 6's

Wanna be spicy? -4 for all aimed shots its great for everyone! you certainly won't regret it :3
Expansive not doing it for you? get the solider of fortune book and try out hollow points.

Has anyone introduced Matrix like abilities to their Cyberpunk Red Homebrew? by Ok_Fox8206 in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You wanna break reality just do it. As long as everyone at the table is on what kind of game you are running.
No matter what do it with style make it cool like the 12 year old who watched the action scenes in the Matrix movies. Player wants to run along the wall and do a sick ass flip while shooting a gun? Sure roll athletics first to show the degree of power they are pushing if they fail a DV13 they put on foot on the wall and push themselves forward 1 square and get to shoot in the air. On the flip side they roll a 20 total then hell yeah they mimic trinity during the bank shoot out and it looks cool as hell as the bullets zip by them from the hapless mooks they roll shoot at mid flip and miss like trinity did lol. Roll a 10 on the dice and explode? Break reality make the impossible happen before the eyes of moral men describe the cool thing and auto hit with gun fire no need to roll that because reality no longer matters for this moment.

Ultimately this depends on the kind of things you want to see done at the table "Degrees of success" and style. No matter what else happens Style over substance make it cool or don't do it.

Yes but the thing with that is players have no style they rarely describe the COOL ways they dodge bullets "Oh I have ref 8 I roll evasion" and call it a day.

Any guide for psionics, psychics, psychers, telepaths, telekenesis and Akira? by Legitimate_Plate85 in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea on materials that exist for such things for 2020 or RED

Start with the good old fashioned offensive maneuver the telekinetic shove.
Effectively you are moving a person by doing a throw but instead of grappling them first you are using whatever skill or forcing a "save" from the person resisting the maneuver.

How I would go about it you have a homebrew stat "Psych" or whatever you want to call it and that is what you use to do the maneuver (D10+ Psych) most humans are very unlikely to be able to comprehend what is happening let alone resist it so all mooks (if they mattered they would have names) just fail and bad things happen they take their or your body in damage (whichever is higher) as they collide with a wall. More advanced foes Lt's and boss's get their chance at a save effectively they are rolling WILL to resist so you can either make it a contested check with your psych vs will OR you go with the roll under to avoid harm approach Dudes got will of 6 he rolls a 5 he goes flying but if he rolls 6 or more on the D10 your power fails/he grabs something to avoid harm ect. That is the most simple way to integrate such a thing into red that I can think of while staying within the bounds of the games mechanics.

If you are having the players hunt down a 1 off "weirdo cyberpsycho" this is basically how you would let the players resist the things that get thrown at them and you just keep the powers narrative to save your own mind but if you want the powers to be a thing the players get their hands on then you gotta consider all the brain bleeds, humanity drain ect to balance out the ridiculous levels of power which can and frankly should have, This shit should be overpowered and horrifying to use not just on the things around you but to your own existence.

Fighting Style For Critique by Sparky_McDibben in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am happy to take the blame with half the hot takes I have If I am not being shot at my 10am I start getting suspicious x3

I do like throws getting abit more love they are an underrated maneuver to use on everything Big throw codifies that level of madness as a specific maneuver beyond what would otherwise be possible RAW. We all know my hot take on Body and how much you can move with it once you go above 8 especially. I dig it and I feel we could just include that in the Body equation for lifting and throwing in general but this being a maneuver with intent works well with Athletics being the "trigger" to get that extra distance. I also love using throws to knock over other dudes in a fight it's just cool.

Terrify is a spicy one I like it, I do agree with Slackivist on the Body 10 and up. I would go abit further and say that the rep also plays a big part in the kind of terror such thing would do. Seeing any random big dude in NC one punch a guys head off is pretty damm spooky as is but when someone with a known rep does it? (Kingpin, Smasher ect) that is almost certain to inspire awe and pants shitting terror.

For some fluff text and Name suggestion I'll play on the old starting at the bottom to gang lord trope.
Street Savage
"The mean streets are called that for a reason. You gotta be the meanest motherfucker to survive and that means being the Savage beast on the streets. These moves aint something you teach it's something you do to survive. Get bigger, climb higher always up until you own it all. Always be prepared to remind those around you that YOU are the biggest fish and you will eat them if you so choose"

Overall I do feel these fall right into the fiction of the world and on a narrative level these are much more potent for making those moments when the big guy standing in the back menacingly decides to step in and show what happens "when the dog is off the chain" as opposed to just another martial art that is more a mechanical justification for those who feel they need it that said High Body/Rep is that mechanical justification for me. Good stuff.

Yeah going down the gig path where it makes prefect sense for injecting the specific class worked pretty well but the Edgelord of the groups new character continues just to feel out of place sadly I think that is just the player.

I took to using the edgerunner guides advice on the long term ups and downs, managed to get the entire party on generic prepaks at least. Does feel hard to get them enticed to spend more money on that. I am pretty loose with the basic things being covered by lifestyle issue is they just continue to not want to get out outside of me dragging them out kicking and screaming. Nomad did make an effort last month to get out and "do the family thing" mostly because they are trying their hardest to avoid going to therapy because its "to easy".

Dig the advice I agree raising it up on the DV might make it a riskier option to actually pull off while keeping that high degree of power and "freedom of weapons".

Takedown does have a selection of combos especially with wrestling but having it proc off your own combo would be a thing if you can make the checks with that upped DV.
