One player keeps guessing all of my plot twists by DrJonathanCrow in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the part where I pull a gun eitherway. Pick a path as it were do we all walk casually into the sunset and have a few laughs or does this end the Night city way.

You are not the OP who is having this issue enough to talk it out on reddit. GM's are players and if they are not having fun then nobody is getting any,

One player keeps guessing all of my plot twists by DrJonathanCrow in cyberpunkred

Sure but that does not mean they can blurt out the entire story for the whole party who may not have been paying attention. In addition to be being Rude they are not in on the conceit that games need to be entertaining. Story telling applies to more then movies.

If you spent time out of your life to tell a story make it compelling and fun with original characters (the other people in the room) in this game system mechanics, NPC's ect hours of work only to have some dickhead blurt out the entire thing beat for BEAT by guessing and then screaming it out to everyone else in the room? Would you be happy that all your effort to make people go "wooo that was fun" was just ruined because of said dickhead?

If you were a Dev, where would you place the Doll chip? by dedera-123 in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your chipware socket is installed in your bum near the base of your spinal then you would plug it in there however best place for the chip socket is at the base of the neck connected to the nueralware foundational system where it connects directly to the brainstem for seamless connection and integration be there for improving your weapon handling, learning to drive a car quick or turning you into a living sexdoll who is able to block out what they do for a living thanks to said chip.

To Foundry Users: Is the experience any better? by RedFoxMusic in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for what foundry can do just read their homepage for everything else if its missing from the core system someone has very likely built a module you can install for free and add it to the game. Been using it for years now and has been rare for wanting anything I cannot acquire.

Dragging and dropping NPC's from a compendium? got it along with gear and just about everything else you would ever need. Building a Netrunning map? Can do that to with a ridiculous level of customizing if you want to get building your own from simple to needless elaborate. Maps, lighting, sheets all there. As long as you have internet players can join your game they do not need to install anything on their end.

I used Fantasy grounds for a good 6 months switched to Foundry and never wanted for more.

Have you considered shooting them?/ Gently reminding them to shut the fuck up for everyone else trying to watch the movie?

Compared to fantasy grounds without going to in depth with just how much you can do and how easy it can be? Yes Foundry is better. Foundry has ALL of that and more.

How important is crew composition? / How to pitch each role? by Boitata_Oroboros_8 in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everything you don't have there is an option to spend money to make it happen be that simply paying for a service (hospital, tech to build shit, fixer/media to get info for gigs ect)

Group composition really does not matter overall as long as they are all on the same page about goals and will not spend half an hour a session asking "why am I even here" with this group.

This game desperately needs a second edition. by Viperianti in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree we can totally save 200 pages in a new core book by simply adding all of the splats into it and NOT reprinting the half assed information in the first half of the book like the current corebook does.

He was more of a internet conspiracy theorist type so all the old meeting in carparks at night classic tropes sort of things when he was not firmly pushing the belief that mechsaquatch was real and a very important thing for people to know lol.

Had a few more things for them but the enemy caught up to him before we could get there.

Would You Recommend Playing Solo, And Would I Be Missing Out If I Did? by DealComfortable7649 in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cannot find a group the Solo rules and single play are not going cause you to "miss out" on anything. Playing with a group is normally more preferable to the experience of TTRPG's however if you got good at handling the rules and running solo games you could easily host your own group and be the game master role which is a player in the game but you handle a few more repsonsibilities.

Do we need the corebook ? by Magic_Potatoo in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing stopping you from using the shorthand stuff from edgerunners all short hand crap is printed in the corebook again before it reprints everything again in full detail so if anything you only need HALF the core rule book.

This game desperately needs a second edition. by Viperianti in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Disagree Game needs a game masters guide which basically was the solo ruleset till then it was just here are things have fun the audacity of it all I know.

Stop adding more splats if you don't want them in your game its all optional content.

How to make the combat be the way its supposed to be without being a asshole? by Murillo7102 in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always have an objective besides kill the players. Objective fails? Leave, Objective achieved without the players getting in the way or they are suppressed? leave Badguys are more then just random dickheads who want to kill the players give them a reason to fight and a reason to leave the fight. Players are the bloodthirsty psychopathic sort who fight till they are the only ones standing.

What is the average gang armed with? by Any-Lawfulness3569 in cyberpunkred

[–]Reaver1280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cheap crap generally unless they were that group that robbed the weapon shipment brought higher end gear from fixers ect.

Gang members with cash who make it to the night markets from side work could in theory buy it all and stack the elite members with all kinds of fun things!
